thats because you guys are young and dont know better

look at the fitment:
- stretched tapered tires to the max
- beat/rolled fenders
- possibly spaced out to clear coilovers

17x9 is too large for stock body s13. 16x8 is optimal.

Maybe it's just because you're old and like small wheels? 17's are made by the teenage devil.

thats also because when i owned my r33 wheels and saw they didnt fit for shit, i also weighed them and realized that ~22 lbs per wheel is WAY too much for a 17x9

but hey, its all good. run a 215 (fwd honda widths) on your 17x9, i ran 245 on my 16x8.

ughh this statement makes no sense..they are 17x9
if they were too big..s13 guys wouldnt use spacers to get them to sit flush

i think the guys point defending 16x8 is that running 18x10 and 215 tires is retarded and just a stupid trend, it isnt "correct"

jus sayin

I was pretty sure it was adapters, but I'm not sure how they work. Don't the stock studs stick out past the thickness of the adapters?

Depends on the size of the adapter. And many (but not all) rims have pockets between the lug holes for that can accomadate extra stud length.
