This is a relay setup question,
would it be better to run one relay to turn on two fans simultaneously
or two relays, each getting the same inputs, to run one fan each?

I would say go with 2 relays so you can control the second fan when you need it (hot days, track, etc...).

I was thinking of running both on a thermostatic switch, if not that then off the of ECU fan control pin. Let me know if anyone can see any foreseeable issues with that.

Stand alone fan controller, one relay, both fans all the time, fat ass radiator and shroud, based on temperature. FAIL PROOF. FTW

My temp runs exactly lower center, idle, traffic, back roads, freeway. no problems.

Quick question guys, I removed the bumper and bumper support on my silvia and I am currently installing the fmic. I plan to run an aftermarket vertex front bumper and I was just curious if anyone has been able to maintain the stock jdm bumper support? Specifically if it clears the ic, and can be used with the aftermarket aero. thanks.

You can fit the big fmic with the support if you clearance the support (depends on the fmic but I've always had to cut them). This goes for JDM or USDM bumper supports.

Just make sure amperage rating for the relay meets that of the fans.

For example:

Two fans wired to one relay:
2 15A fans = 1 30A relay

One relay for each for:
2 15A fans = 2 15A relays

IMO no reason to not run one relay for each fan. Worst case scenario you have a relay go bad one day you aren't dead in the water with no cooling and could wire the fan to the other relay to get home or run home with the one remaining fan etc.

I believe you should loop them back to each other, then cap off the heater core side to keep stuff from getting inside in case you want to hook it up later.

Garrett T3 5 Bolt exhaust discharge flanges the same as T25/28 ones? I know the 4 bolt is larger...

Will this bolt up to the T28 exhaust housing? (I am external, so I don't care about the flapper).

would the car overheat if you blocked them? im just asking because one of my lines has a kink in it and i have the hose at my grandmas house but was wondering if that was the cause of overheating on the highway

It's possible, those hoses are designed to flow from the water inlet behind the thermostat, through the core, and to the head coolant passage. I would not block them.

Your car has some serious issues. Maybe stop flooring it 1-3 while it's overheating.

not serious issues, it only overheats on the highways and i changed the thermostat and wanted to really put some heat into it to see if it would over heat

Does anyone know if the Greddy oil relocation kits are interchangeable between S14 and S13 SR20 engines? I see FRSport list two types, what are the differences?

Summit Racing for longer hoses, adapters, connectors, and DIY the stuff that does not fit to make it work correctly.

Hoping someone has an Apexi noir or a hks hi power laying around...

What's the length of the typical resonator box on the aftermarket s14 exhausts? Gonna add something similar to my resonator-less HKS sport. Here's an s14 apexi noir midpipe as an example:

Thx!

Just hit up Summit for a black Moroso Spiro Flow muffler. You'll like the way your car sounds after using it for a resonator, and it's only some 4" in diameter

Can someone please clarify if only the sunroof equipped cars have the drain tubes going down the sides of the interior? And how many drain tubes are there for sunroof equipped S14s?

Biggest difference is the thread of the sandwich plate nut. S13 and S14 SR use different threads on the oil filter stud, so the oil cooler kits use different nuts. 3/4" vs M20 thread, IIRC.

Good idea. Never understood why the Hi-Power has a mid-muffler, but the Sport doesn't. Should make for the ultimate, quiet street exhaust.

I've never seen those types of mufflers before. Seems like a good way to quiet things down without sacrificing too much flow. Thanks for this, I may just give it a try.

Yeah it's weird. HKS probably didn't think a resonator was necessary. It is pretty quiet for what it is..ONE muffler, but it's still a little too loud for me and there's is a bit of drone on the highway.

This place is a safe haven for my stupid questions and I’m thankful for that. Anyway I recently picked up a set of G7s with federals for what I assume is dumb cheap. I’m just wondering what these usually go for on the market? Not planning to resell, just curious. Haven’t seen many of these up for sale.

$1000-$1400.
Google “panasport c5c zilvia” and you can see all the sets that have sold here recently
