'95 Radio in a '98

When I bought my '98 240sx it had no radio in it. I bought a radio out of a '95 240 and thought it would plug right in. Two of the plugs in the back are different. I'm guessing Nissan changed the two factory plugs from zenki to kouki. Is there any way I can make this work?

Yes, I don't see a reason why you can't..... it will require wiring obviously. Why not just get an aftermarket radio? I have one for 50 bucks shipped.

I can't stand the look of most aftermarket radios. Lets say I can obtain the '95 clips that go into the back of the radio. How do I get my wires into the '95 clips? I haven't really done any wiring before...

okay okay, lol. I'll snap some pictures as soon as I can. In the meantime, if anybody knows what each plug on the back of the stock radio is for, that would be helpful. Any help is much appreciated.

Buy some Metra OEM plugs (plugging into the '95 radio) and then wire them to either your current plugs or buy some '98 female plugs. Match colors to like colors and you would have a jumper harness between the radio and OEM main harness for $20.

Goto any stereo shop and tell them you need the reverse harness for 94 and below nissans. Then you will also need a radio harness for 96+ nissan. Match all the wires up (match the colors up) and like Promise Land said you will have a jumper cable. Alot of trouble for a super out dated radio. No support for CD-r/w, ipod/mp3, aux just to name a few options that most aftermarket radios will give you for less than $100.
