First off there are many things to consider when installing a proper fuel system. What is your HP goal and what are you going to be doing to the car. For most people with bolt-ons and moderate setups a walbro 255 will be enough to safely get you to around 450whp now if this car is going to see very high horsepower and or heavy track use you may want to look at a dual fuel pump setup and even a surge tank with dedicated power circuits, larger lines etc.You need to do more reading as this is a very simple breakdown of things and mistakes in this area can be expensive(damage engine).

What motor? Food for thought Im doing borg Warner EFR 7064 IWG, stock mani, 555cc RC, FPR, modded jun syle mani, aeromotive pump 340. z32 maf and rare PFC for the rb20. NEVER use a safc go PFC, rom tune or Haltech if you can get it to work for the rb20

HX35 will bolt up to stock exhaust manifold, but steering column and linkage get in the way (if LHD).

OK, HX35 on a RB20 will spool fairly slow. What exhaust side is on it currently?

Check out here for another example.

http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=543836

Also, thought I said the turbo will bolt to the manifold (both T3) there is a clearance issue with the valve cover. A spacer and longer studs will give the needed .5 to 1 inch.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. What size is the exhaust housing side of the HX35? Is it divided or single inlet?

There are a lot of reasons to upgrade to the RB25:
They are newer
They provide more torque
You can make some serious power
RB25 transmissions are almost bomb proof.

But, having a holset HX35 should not be your primary reason.

Here is another good thread here on Holset use. Even shows an RB25, Holset HX35, and spacer, with stock exhaust manifold

Alright I'm in need of a Rb guru. The machine shop I brought my Rb25 block to , punched out these plugs in the block to fully clean it. Now it's not any welsh plug, it's an iron plug either for oil or coolant. It goes straight through the block and there is 2 plugs, the front port is by the bottom large bolt on the water pump and between the oil pump, the back port is right above the rear main plate on the intake side.

If anyone knows where they can be sourced it would be very helpful!
My last option is to have a machine shop lathe me up two plugs but if they sell them it would make it easier. Thanks!

Hey guys I'm going with an RB20 swap soon, and I have a couple of questions.
Is there a difference between using an R32 crossmember vs aftermarket mounts like the mckinney mounts?
I've heard with the mckinney mounts I need to make room for the starter.
Secondly, with a wiring specialties harness I'll be using the RB20DET ECU or the Stock automatic ECU my s13 came with?

RB25DET
I have strange idle surge problem that comes and goes. I have noticed that it will start to surge when i turn on the wipers. It was worse before but after cleaning the Idle control valve it has gotten better. It is totally random, also in order to stop the surging i would have to rev the motor a little until it no longer surges. Really annoying. Any guesses?

I paid about $2500 with mount kit and 1-piece driveshaft from zero lift. That was about 6 years ago.
