BTW, when you do this job, make sure to get the Proform LS Valve spring compressor. It makes the job very easy, you can do two springs at once. It costs about $70, and is well worth it. Also, don't use an air holder. Just take 1/4" nylon rope. Put it in the cylinder through the spark plug hole, and turn the engine until it stops. It holds the valves perfectly, and takes way less time than that stupid air holder. Not to mention, I could never get the air holder to actually get a good seal and hold the valve.
I'm not sure what you mean by the yellow "Made in Germany" springs, but they are the ls6 springs that have the yellow marking. With them shimmed, they are capable of about a .560 lift whereas the ls6 zo6 cam is right around .551, so these are plenty capable of what I'm going for. Thanks for the heads up on the install though, I'm going to look into both of the things that you posted.

Well when you come down, don't be afraid to come take a look. I'm in no rush to sell this thing.

I mean that there are no more yellow springs. The springs are blue now. The specs are exactly the same as the yellow ones, I ordered the yellow springs when I changed mine, but I got blue ones. I called and was told GM doesn't make the yellow ones anymore. They used to be made in Germany, now they're made in Mexico.

Also, make sure you have a few extra of the valve locks (the half-circle things that hold the valve in the retainer). Buy them when you get the springs, or you will be heading to the GM dealer to buy some when you do the job. Ask me how I know

You can still get new yellow springs from GM. All you need is the original part number (aka pn. for yellow springs. not the updated pn. for "updated pn. 99665544 blue springs") and the dealer can track down who already has the springs in stock. Basically you are finding a dealer somewhere who has them on the shelf and never sold them instead of your dealer ordering from one of the wearhouses. - I'm a GM tech. we deal with these "updated" part numbers all the time on all sorts of parts
-Now you would only need to do this if you did not trust the new made in mexico blue springs.

also, a magnet helps on the spring retainer locks.

And for the love of all that is LS just take the heads off to do the job, clean them and have the valve guides and seats checked and then do the springs/seals. then you'll have a nice fresh top end with new gaskets, head bolts, clean the valley cover, etc.. (just dont shove some string in your engine)

Compressed air works as well to keep the valves closed...

Nope, car is still for sale. Although, I'm not really pushing to hard to sell just because I've been still adding things to the car.

Energy Master bushing set is in the works, New LCA's and balljoints, new tie rod ends...

02 zo6 cam, springs and pushrods as well as a SLP underdrive pulley is going on this weekend with a new tune. At this point, I'd have to get very close to my asking price.

Lex, I'm available whenever to show it! Since Pcola is close to PCB, I'd be willing to meet yo in Destin if that's cool, contact me through email or PM's to set this up!

Dr. Picklez, where in SFL are you located? If your F250 does sell, contact me and I'd be willing to work out a hell of deal on this!

I found the next car I want so anyone with some cash could obviously persuade me into getting rid of it for the right price! Let me know!

EDIT: A quick video of a 1st through 3rd gear pull was added!

Hahaha, thanks bud. It's just time for something newer since me and the girlfriend will be going off to college and sharing a car. I don't even want to teach her to drive this.
