The rear fenders are rolled and pulled, and wheels are 18x10.5 +16 with a 255/35/18. Camber is around -3.45deg.

The way the front fits (looks-wise) is perfect, except i had to relocate the wiring harness and I also had to remove both inner fender liners. Sometimes on really hard aggressive turns it rubs in front, and I want to avoid that somehow.

The rear is a different story, the gap is too large to look perfect yet it still rubs up inside the fenders on really hard bumps or turns. And the camber is killing the inside of my tires. I have 275s that fill the gap perfectly, but rubs like 100% of the time so I would have to figure out how to fit those. How are you guys running like creditcard clearance and not rubbing? I want that look and fitament but without the rubbing....what do I need to do?

Well I bought 2 tires today, was planning on putting them on the rear. They are 235/40/18. The only problem is that I have 245/35 up front so these would be skinnier than the front. I was thinking of putting the 245s out back and the new 235s in the front...but the front with the 245 looks perfect....

What is everyones suggestion? I want to take out some camber in the rear.

Depending on the tire brand/model, the 245 could actually be in fact skinnier than the 235.

Example: 235/40/17 Federal 595 was wider than the 245/40/18 Kumho Ecsta 712

I couldn't really tell when the faces were silver, but now that they're black you can see the rears have a flat face and the fronts have a slightly convex face (for brake clearance).

I'm extremely excited about putting these on this weekend (especially since my car is running!!!)

I just double checked my calculations and they SHOULD be 17X10 +7 and 17X11 +12. I'm getting the rears on this weekend and I've got to wait for front tires.
you bastard! you beat me too it. I have a set of 6 that are just sitting around as extras and have contemplated doing this for a long time but never motivation to do it. Who did you get the bigger lips from and how much did the set up run you per lip.???kodiak?

Kodiak no longer makes lips. There are a few companies you can go through....look on the VW forums if you want some options. I used a guy on ebay though. The lips aren't cheap though, expect to spend over 1k on them.

You don't need overfenders, I'm running 18x10.5 +7 with 245/35 and -2 camber but on a s14. Just need a slight pull.

Do a decent pull or 30mm overs and slip on spacers till flush, but you will need to do just as much work with the overs than with the pull. Soooooo yea.

1k+ isnt too bad, kodiak was asking 250 a lip plus shipping, from UK i think so shipping was bucks. I have spoke with few companies here in so cal area to see how much making custom 18 inch barrels and lips would run me. it all ends up being around 1500 or so. Thanks for the info, I may consider keeping them now.

my question to you is, how did you pull those front fenders? i've obviously rolled and pulled my rears and i've rolled my fronts, but i can't think of a legitimate way to pull the fronts.

Well you are right about sizes being off....I bought 2 federal 595 235/40/18 to replace my 2 rears that were worn out (255/35) and then realized my fronts are 245/35 and then the rears would be skinnier....

So then I planned on putting the two new 235s up front, then taking the 245s off and putting them on the rear rims....and hoping to take some camber out of the rear since i would be going slightly skinnier....well we messed up a tire when taking one off so I had to put the 2 new ones up front (which rub while the 245s didnt, makes no sense) and then flip the 2 rears because the inside is showing cords and I have no other tires to put on yet...except the 275s which I can't figure out how to fit. So now the front sidewall looks a tiny bit too big, although fills the gap pretty good, and I dont know what size I should buy for the rear. This is so tedious...

^^ Maybe 5mm difference you were looking at if they were the same tire. Also the knew one had much more tread. Gotta do some math action. A 235/40 is so slightly smaller than a 245/35 its poop on the tip of a chingada.
