Finally found a better 240sx
As some of you may remember, I posted a thread a while ago asking if $1700 was a good price for this bondo filled, ugly body kitted, messed up 240. The response was almost all "don't get it". Everyone who said it was right. It was horrible. I did some craigslist surfing and found a nice 240sx Zenki for $1500 and I have bought it. Tell me your feedback in the comments.

does it run and drive?
i don't see any bad rust spots. $1500 makes me assume it's broken or rusty or auto but idk what the market looks like in virginia so could be solid. |

not a bad start. much better than what you were previously looking at. Needs to be stripped down and painted, but not bad at all. Get OEM wheels. lol

no dont paint it if you are on any kind of budget. Get it running tip top condition, get great fuel economy, refresh any of the OEM suspension that you can afford to (shock and struts are cheap enough) use OEM springs, put an OEM air box on it with a paper filter just like factory. Put the original exhaust back on it for sure. Keep OEM 5-lug SE wheels on it. and just drive it forever.
Ok so ten years later, the engine quits at 250,000 miles or whatever. Now what. Still not painted right? Still on oem springs/shocks? perfect. Put a stock sr20det into it with a side mount and same stock exhaust and stock wheels. Now you have a car with 210rwhp that is whisper quiet, and still looks really rough/stock on the outside. No one will see it coming. |

No sunroof is an amazing choice, love my no sunroof. needs a little lowering though, that wheel gap is awful. Just my opinion though.

lol cause sun roofs, like most "fancy" 240 things, aren't really that fancy and require more maintenance and replacing than they're worth.
remember on viva la bam when he cut a hole in the roof of his lambo? He probably still had more rigidity and less leaks. But on a realer note I just bought my first chassis with a sunroof. Just planning for street use so meh. Shall see. |

Replacing the molding & seals when they separate from the assembly is a PITA. Good luck even finding a place that even carries that molding. And if you do, your ass BETTER buy that S14 specific wind deflector to protect it from then on...
I wonder if Kognition is still selling those s14 sunroof delete packages...
