Replacing Heim Joints/Rod Ends RUCA

So my Rear upper control arms have play (ISR V1 ARMS S13) in the heim joints/ rod ends. I want to replace just the rod end and not the whole control arm!!

I measured the size of the rod end and it is M14X2.0X45mm

The opening for the rod bore (for the bolt to go through) without the two washer things installed is 17mm.

For some reason all the replacement rod ends I am finding have a 14mm bore?

Has anyone ever replaced these before?

Link of the replacements I found:

I was doing the same thing lately. It's almost impossible to find the one you need. I found one for my application in the UK and it would cost me like $25 for a heim. Almost makes more sense to just buy a new set at that point. The only cheap heims you will find are the ones they use on american roundy round cars.

I found this but I don't know if I would trust it: https://www.ebay.com/i/262873119859?chn=ps

have you tried reaching out to ISR to see if they can get you spares? I tried to do this years ago with an arm on another car/chassis and the biggest issue I ran into was the fact that everything was standard/fractional size/thread. I used to have a 200+ catalog with all heim stuff too, but I cant seem to find it. ill look again later and see if I can get the name of the company. so far all ive seen via a quick google is FK and RBC.

It is very difficult to find! The one you linked me would work for the thread size but the bore size is 14mm and mine measures about 17 or 18mm

I have looked on there already, they did not have what I needed in terms of size. Also the only m14x2.0 was over $50 each

^ Same deal. Either too expensive (might as well buy new arms) or they don't have the right size.

...that's the main problem with China-spec arms. You're likely to get some oddball, non-standard rod end.

You realize the joint is the main reason why some brands arms cost more, right?

Broke-boy arms use dumpster-spec joints.

I was at OSH last night and to my surprise they had an m14x2 heim joint. I have no clue what the static loading capacity is but maybe look into that.

I have like SPL V1 arms and replace my heims with all Midwest Control stuff.

Relatively affordable and I just get usually the highest rated stuff they have... But like with any solid arm, you just gotta check them after every event.

Its race car life, how it is....

Only thing I don't get is my bore size on the ISR arms is 17mm, the Midwest bore size is 14mm. When I use the two washer inserts inside of it the bore is a 14mm.

So when you buy the Midwest arms are you still using the two washer inserts for the heim joint?

My friend and I were able to change our old project Nissan rod ends with QA1. They crossed over thread wise. We had to lathe the sleeve collars lenghth down a little but it was a easy swap.

So every single replacement rod end I find for M14x2.0 has a 14mm bore. I need a 17mm bore! But I think I will just buy the 14mm bore and use some thick washers to replace the insert piece that goes in the rod ends I have now.
