Hey guys. Rebuilding my DE head and im gonna get it resurfaced but what should I tell them? Bc im not sure if it has ever been resurfaced before. I also don't know the difference between the 91 mm, 90mm head gasket or 89mm. 89 is oem irrc but I can't seem to find a metal one, a link would be nice... Would it really make a difference between which thickness i get? Thanks in advance.

How much would a Sr20det Long Block With compression 140/140/110/140
be worth for sale, if it still ran good but needed bottom end rebuild...

Best way to remove the 4 driveshaft bolts at the end of the 240? I can't fit a socket so I can only use a wrench but I can't get it to budge even when I hammer it

This is more of an opinion question that hopefully the experienced can answer.
I will be buying some coilovers soon, and was wondering which would be best
Since they're all the same price (basically)
Is it best just to buy some japanese coils? like apexi, k-sport, or blitz?
Or should I go with fortune auto? I've heard a few good words for them
I attempted to look up reviews for all these, and a bunch of for sales just popped up,
Also yes I know this has probably been asked before, but I suck at making decisions without experience.

I bought shitty megan coils for my other 240, and kinda dislike them.....

Fortune Auto coils are awesome. My current set Ive had on my car for almost 3 years now and I couldnt be happier. Ive owned tons of different coilovers thru the last 14 years of building these cars and Fortunes are the best bang for you buck you can pretty much get. They easily compete with $2000+ coilovers in terms of ride and stability. If all you care about is putting your car on the ground and nothing more, buy shitty ebay coilovers. if you want to put your money toward something that will lower your car quite a bit but also offer great ride and performance, Fortunes are the way to go.

^ also;
built to order. (choose your springs/add ons right off the bat)
they sell pretty much every little piece you could need to repair your coilovers.
they offer rebuild services that come with a 1 year warranty.
and this is all done in virginia. not local to a lot of people, but it's in the states.

You will also find that Stance offers the same 'Swift' springs and the same 'build your own way' that Fortune does.

I'm trying to install the crank pulley on my sr20, Just wanting to know how to get it to seat correctly on the crank. I've read that you have to line up the keyway on the pulley to the one on the crank but it's not sliding down into the position it need to be. Any advice would be helpfully, thanks in advance.

Does anyone have any recommendation for wheel rebuilding shops besides VR wheel and WHeelflip, especially on the east coast? Just want to explore my options before shipping my wheels across the country and back, which isn't cheap at all.

Wanted to post here before making my own thread.

Car is a 98' s14 ka that I just 5-spd swapped.

I was driving pretty hard the other night and the next morning I noticed a small-ish puddle of what looks and feels like 80-90 wt. gear/trans oil right below the evap system by my rear bumper.

Never had an issue like this and haven't had any issues since the swap.

I know the trans vent doesn't go that far to the rear, so I'm really stumped.

I'll add pictures later, but the leak is just right below all the lines going to the evap box. The weird part is that it keeps leaking even after its been off for a few days.

Anyone know about projectors and retro fits?

Is it best to use H1 Morimoto bulbs with the Morimoto Mini H1 projectors? I recently retrofitted the new Mini H1 projectors using my existing HID hardware and have very poor output from the projectors. I used this thread as a reference and have a similar set up as far as headlights and projectors used here.

I did have original factory projectors with aftermarket HIDs and the light output was excellent and worked as hid and projectors should. But now since I did the retrofit using the Mini H1 projectors, the light output is so poor that I can not drive at night. The only thing I can think of for the poor output of light are my actual H1 bulbs that are no name aftermarket. Does this seem like a logical explanation?

Here are some images of what I'm talking about. You can kind of see the beam on the lower left in the first picture but that's about it. Someone please help me or give me suggestions on what I can do, I can't drive my car at night and this problem is frustrating me.

I noticed a bit of a gap in the front cover of my s14 SR20. I can only attribute it to the AC delete. But is it OK to have it like this (I don't know what, if anything, is on the other side)?

Backup signal help

VQ swap and need to wire in my reverse however like an idiot, I did not take pictures of where the reverse lights plugged and the connectors at the main engine bay fuse box do not look like the ones I've seen (s13 hatch manual swapped). I know there's the g/w wire and the g/l wire that controls this. What is the signal that needs to be made for the back up lights to work? I know it needs a power signal but what's the other so I can trace it with the voltmeter? For some reason I'm not grasping the diagram in the FSM.

You have broken wires somewhere shorting your lights when your wipers are engaged. Lucky for you, you know exactly what wires to look at.
