Thanks guys!!

You know it's really not a v-mount at all.. I actually got the idea from the sierra-sierra time attack evo. But I just moved everything as far back as possible to keep everything as close to the center of the car as possible. no more IC hanging over the front end of the car, and no more radiator hanging over in front of the steering rack. Will be cool to see the actual difference in weight distribution when the car actually runs =-) I'm excited to get her finished!! more updates soon!!

Little Update:

So I was looking at some of my parts yesterday morning and realized that I forgot to cut a hole in my BOV tube. So not having a large porting tool.. I drilled a series of holes around the aluminum and used a dremel to clean it up/port it nice and smooth. Came out damn good.. must say.. i'm getting pretty good at being patient and blending metals ;-)

and all cleaned up and done

More Updates soon!

Top notch work, I think your intercooler and radiator set up is awesome! I love how short the piping is. And though I'm probably missing something, could you of designed the inlet and outlet ports of the radiator differently so you didn't have to have so much radiator piping snaking around the front of the engine?

Yes, you are correct!! You know I left it long for the time being because i havn't gotten the time to fit my radiator fans. So just looking at it...its a pretty tight fit for coolant lines.. So I wanted to keep the coolant line away from the Turbo housing but if it I made it short... it would hit the fan area.. So i figured why not loop it all the way around so that it cleared both fans and was routed around to the cold side of the engine. I'm still not Certain i'll keep them looped that much..but It does clear the fans now, so it'll most likely stay this way unless I run into clearance issues =-) Thanks for the input!!

Little Update:

This is always a good sign!!

good stuff!

Needed to re-make the oil line for my oil coolers that went from the motor to my thermostat
..came out good!

Finally got around to finishing up the manifold turbo flange..needed to be port matched to the divided housing. It was off alot. Don't have pics but it was off almost a 16th of an inch on the right side of each divided port..if that makes sense.
THis is finished though.

Got the adapter for my power steering line... no more banjo oem line!!

out with the old in with the new!!

installed

also put a AN plug in the bottom of my UIM...been putting this off for far too long..

still need Oil and water lines!!

And used a pvc pipe that bent with the contour of the hood to cut my Wastegate tubes so I could close the hood

That waste-gate setup is awesome! Can we expect a running video before it gets ripped back apart?

No running vid before it gets torn apart... haha I don't want to fill fluids for a start up =-) If money wasn't a concern it'd be different..just not that baller.

Tubs are for show cars and hard parkers.. I may make some sheet metal removable covers though ;-)

Small Update:

Went ahead and sealed the rear fenders again.. I didn't like the clear silicone previously on there...plus there were some gaps where stuff could get in and I didn't want a bunch of dirt/sand/muck getting wedged all inbetween the body panels and the interior panels. I hate when stuff bounces around..or you hit a turn and you hear stuff sliding all around etc.
anyways....
first
IMG]http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy325/mannykiller/FD%20Build/IMAG1767.jpg[/IMG]
done

THen I got to work making a template to cut the hood for my wastegates

traced the template onto the hood after lining it up all nice

rough cuts

almost done

And final product!! came out great!! i'm loving it!

After cutting the hood I decided to get to work on the last real components to my set up... Oil/coolant lines for the turbo. So at first I really wanted to do stainless braided lines to keep everything moveable...but I had some spare tube laying around and all I needed was one fitting..so I got to work on some hard lines.
first was the Oil feed...

Then the water feed line

and from this angle it looks completely pointless as it looks like there are a bunch of useless bends going this wat and that.. But the horse shoe looking bend under the turbo is for my Oil drain. This way the line's wouldn't have the chance of rubbing or rattling together.

And lastly, the Water drain. Now i'll have to check the garrett faq page again..but I may have to re-do this line for thermal siphoning. I think Garrett says to take advantage of thermal siphoning the water drain must not be higher than the inlet to the system.. Or was it the highest point in the cooling system? I an't remember....if I got it wrong..i'll have to go ahead and re do the line as best as possible. But there are very limited options as how to route the line already... All the lines will need DEI heat sleeving though... otherwise they'll just get too hot for my peace of mind out there on the track!

I wasn't able to get the oil drain line done because I am missing the fitting/flange that goes from the block to the line. I'll have to order one asap!!...this line will be - AN10 and stainless braided. Big oil drain is a "need."

p.s......Anyone know someone who paints pretty good that doesn't charge a ton? It's hard for me to justify spending money on paint when I know what the car will be used for... 3 years ago my buddy spent 2500 on a paint job. His first drift event made him regret his decision completely because he got tapped twice and put into the K-rail. His 2500 dollar paint job looked dooo dooo haha
