Want to swap to KA24DE. But have questions about it.

I have a 1989 Nissan 240SX hatchback 5-speed. The current engine is a KA24E and it has a damage bottom end. My question is can I swap out to a KA24DE and use the same transmission? The reason, why I want to keep the transmission, is because it has a VLSD Differential in it. I'm new so don't hurt me...

If you do a good enough job labeling what everything is, and how it came apart....

You'll find it's quite easy to swap transmissions over with no problems.

However I hope you're aware you will be swapping DE wires over as well.

transmission and differential are 2 different things on this vehicle.... not like a Honda. Look it up. Literally google 240sx transmission and then 240sx differential. Swapping engines is not going to change your diff. Swapping transmissions isn't going to change your diff.

Oh, I didn't know you have to swap over DE wires too. Thanks for the tip.

I'm still kinda new to this. My previous cars that I had before is 2 Acura Integra both rhd converted, 2000 Audi A4, and lastly Nissan Silvia Spec-S. I sold off those Acura Integra, gave my sister the 2000 Audi A4 that is all fix up, and the Nissan Silvia Spec-S got stolen from me while I was at my sister home in Oceanside.

The Nissan Silvia Spec-S I did nothing to that car. All I did I bought it and just drove it around town that's it. No mods nothing.
