Possibly being scammed
***UPDATE*** got a FULL refund from PayPal. I asked them if he is getting away with the money and they said they held the payment because I filed the claim so fast.
STAY AWAY FROM NISMOSTATE!! Seeing that I got scammed. Does anyone know where I can grab a set of these in like new condition. I'm almost desperate. My favorite wheels, they are discontinued and no one has them ok first off I am posting to get advice from you folks. I tried keeping his name private but I forgot it was in the texts. His name is NISMOSTATE. Just so everyone is clear I sent it as GOODS/SERVICES First things first, I bought a set of 18x10 +18 in matte bronze bnib from a seller here whom contacted me from my wtb thread. We talked for a little and he sent me pictures of the wheels. As seen here: I said everything looks good I'll send money now. He asked me to send 1200 as "family/friend" to avoid fees. I ended up sending as goods/products to save my ass. 1236.15 is what it came out to. So I sent it. Now after I sent the money he quickly said we will exchange trade ratings on zilvia and that he will send me the tracking the next day. (Sent he money Sunday evening, so I was expecting a message Monday with details) I didn't hear anything from him the day I was supposed to receive the tracking. So I shot him a text asking what's up..... No reply. So I waited a few hours. Sent another with no response. Upon waking up this morning I sent him another text. No response. Waited an hour. Sent another. No response. All the while he was showing activity on zilvia. So I sent him a pm. No response. Long story short. It's been a little less that 48 hours with no response even though he's logged onto zilvia multiple times. Am I over reacting? I know that when I sell items I'm in constant contact with the buyer. Let me know what you would do or if I should put in a claim in on PayPal. Here is the text conversation: If you made it this far and have a set of these wheels in mint condition I'll buy them. Let me know Last edited by zbarsuglia; 04-12-2015 at 04:54 PM.. |

I said that I wanted to cover my ass so I sent it as goods/services. I'm covered. I'm just wondering if I should wait a few more days.

No dude fuck that. Fuck ALL of that. There's no excuse for a lack in communications like that when he's active on Zilvia all day. Get your funds back...

Filing a complaint with paypal will get his attention for sure. If he won't be decent and respond to texts or pm's then have the paypal staff do the talking for you.

File a claim but don't freak out.
Sending payment as Goods and Services has saved my ass more then once. Paypal is pretty good about that. So much so that I've heard of sellers being scammed by people accepting the product no signature then saying they've never received it and pulling payment lol.

That's legit a shitty move. Have you snooped around his zilvia profile at all?
Normally when I'm buying something from someone I thoroughly check their previous threads, posts, ratings etc. I look for unresolved sales or items things that even send off the smallest bit of sketchyness. Good on you for sending as goods and not as friends/family though. It's WELL worth the small amount of money for not loosing $1200.

Yea man file a claim like right now. I think its a red flag when people ask to send payment as gift. Paypal is like an insurance policy.
Always nice to have the date and username in pics too just so you know its legit. |

filing a claim was pretty much your only option. getting your money back and letting him chug a dong is a great solution to the problem (and thankfully you were smart enough to ignore his family/friends request and send it as a normal payment). there is ZERO excuses when you buy something from someone to expect ANYTHING less than exceptional communication, regardless if its a $20 set of lug nuts or a $2000 body kit! i answer my emails, facebook messages and zilvia PMs almost IMMEDIATELY regardless if someone has purchased something from me via my business or via personal goods! youre giving someone money to provide you a service and a product. if that service and product are not being delivered, get your money back... simple as that! there are too many broke dick scammers out there who deserve the ass raping PayPal can do to them!
