SR SR20det stumbles when wet

Hey guys I have a weird problem that I've been trying to figure out for a while now. Whenever it is raining or there is a light mist with wet ground my car will want to stumble when moderate to heavy load is applied to it. I'll put my foot down to accelerate, the car will act normal for few seconds then feels like it cuts out then it continues to drive then it will stumble again etc.. The problem gets worse as I drive in the wet, It will only stumble on hard throttle at first but then as I continue driving it will start to stumble under less and less throttle/load. I have only noticed this problem after I got rod knock in this motor, fixed it then reinstalled it. While I fixed the motor I installed a Wiring Specialties harness, which I really doubt is the issue. Also shortly before I got rod knock I did the t28/550cc/z32/tune setup, I'm not sure if that would have an effect on my problem. The only thing I could see the new setup causing an issue with is, I had to install a low profile autozone air filter for clearance reasons with the longer z32 MAFS. After I drive Ill notice the area around the air filter and the back left of the engine bay is pretty wet. Could my air filter getting wet or my ignitor chip getting mist on it cause these issues? The car is a 95' S14 with a redtop sr20det in it with the previously said setup and FMIC and exhaust. Could I have forgot something when I reinstalled the engine last summer? The car runs okay when it is dry out, I have participated in many drift events with it in its current state and the motor acts normal in the dry.

Thanks for the help.

Is your lower splash shield installed? Do you have a open hole where the filter is/old air box went through? Try sealing those areas up with something and see if the problem persists.
