Yeah i wanna get em but i wanted to make sure they werent absoloute crap or anything. 600$ for ganadors is way to steep for me right now.

They could be “knock offs” but when you put em side by side, they are a lot of differences & gktech actually wrote something acknowleding the simularities and how it was there take on that style mirror.

I have a set and they're definitely worth it. Another note would be that they have a version for lhd as well, which is a plus. Also I can confirm they are a perfect fit for gandor lenses. They fit very well and feel sturdy. I bought all new seals for my hatch, so I was able to install them as factory intended and theyre just cherry.

Great lol thats all i needed to hear which persuaded me to buy it tomorrow. 98$ compared to 600$+ soooooo. Do you have pics of them on your car that you can post?

I guess I'm just surprised these aren't being sh*tted on because they're not Ganadors or whatever. Replica parts aren't respected on Zilvia, but I'm guessing it's Gktech's reputation that's saving these?

Why not save more @ $30(+/-) on cheapie ebays mirrors?

Yes, their name is what's saving it. However. Having a LHD variant is nice. And I've had those very eBay ones you posted. They're horrible lol. My glass cracked twice from heat, and the glass mounting is loose and shook a lot when driving.

I have the gktech mirrors on my car right now and I can't complain. They're actually built better then the eastbears I used to run on my hatch and the LHD option is nice. I'm going to swap them out for a set of aeromakers I just scooped but that's only because I think the aeromakers will flow better with my car and not because I dislike anything in particular about the gktech mirrors. For the price you can't really go wrong.

I've also seen those eBay mirrors in person and the gktech ones look a bit better because they don't sweep up as much, also the manual adjustment on the gktech mirrors feels much better.

Imo if they stuck straight out instead of sticking UP, they would look nice. They look goofy sticking upwards.

I'll stick with $200 eastbears but it's def good overall that we have more available options.

Yeah i feel the same, i prefer them not to stick up also. And yeah i’ll probably get the east bears eventually.

Made this thread to gauge people’s reactions to this product, which was ultimately going to decide for you from the beginning.

The nicest thing I can say is, stick with stock mirrors if these are the only other choice.

I mean not really lol and my decision was based off if people thought the product was of good build quality & not cheapo plastic that will break in 2 seconds or has terrible fitment. I dont consider these reps because they have different design factors in them compared to ganadors. I would say they are heavily influenced by ganadors. But as for me building my car for the approval of the internet. Not really at all. Why do you say im a “yes man”?

What I think he's saying:

He's saying is you're asking for other people's approval to throw parts on your car (hence yes-man, insta-build, etc). He quoted your posts about hating replica parts, and these mirrors are rep, but also have a design difference (ergo a LHD variant) that isn't rep, but the design overall is a rep. And youre asking for others approval to get them.


Anyhow, I wanted to throw up some fitment pics, as I do like these a lot. The lhd variant a big plus too as these mirrors are small as it is. Please excuse my filthy ass mess of a garage, as I jump around to different parts of the car, and never really put anything away. Also keep in mind they re installed on brand new oem weatherstripping. They definitely do point upwards a bit. At the end of the day it's whatever you want to do, and what will work for your setup.

Yes makes sense when you say it like that. But that wasnt the point of this thread, i can see why it looks like it. The point was the pose the question if this was actually a part worth getting or if it was a cheaply made waste of money. Which i deff got my answer and that helped a lot. If everyone said it was a bad part, obviously i wouldn’t have wasted my money because i know its a bad part. But if people say its a good part & have no problems with it. Then im going to spend my money & get it because i already wanted it. I can see his side of why he thinks that, but its not really being a “yes-man” asking for someones opinion if something is worth it. But thanks for clarifying & i love the way they look your car! Im actually in the process of looking for weather stripping right now as well haha

No, they would go nowhere near my car if everyone said they were a cheaply made mirror. Not if people didnt like them “just because” or because they dont like how similar in design they look to other mirrors. I know gk tech is a company that makes other good stuff but had no other knowledge on this product. So i came and asked people who might’ve, sucks that in this day & age where we can turn to like minded people to help us. Someone always has a problem when other people are just trying to educate themselves.
