Dat bi daint RHD kouki sr20det build! Lots of pics

Hi all, after owning an 89 sr20 powered coupe and giving it to my brother, i finally found a 97 240sx for a great price! I am building another sr20det and converting it to RHD just for the hell of it!
Here's what it looked like on the inside when i first bought it!

Fixed it up to stock and put some PBM coil overs and rims on it! Just need the lip for it!

Bought an S14 sr20 bottom end to put my s13 head on it! Had to plug the hole to make the s13 head work!

Here's the Apexi HG and the Arp head studs! All clean looking!

Here's the head i just got back from the machine shop all nice and cleaned up also!

Not enough 240's!

here's the engine bay before we started the RHD conversion!

Cutting the firewall!

Did a little bit more cutting and welding on the firewall!

Some darn wiring!

lining up the steering column getting ready for some more welding!

Ready to remove old internals and replace with BC valves and springs kit!

Stock on right and BC on left!

These darn seals are hard but got them all out!

got the valves and springs in!

Did some polishing and painting on my friend's rims while awaiting funds!

getting ready to test fit the motor...

Precission turbo and Doc Racing manifold came in!

This is it for now~ More updates along with pics soon!

wow that cam looks good! Going to be crazy!

tried to torque the bolts down and then 2 of the bolts snapped... darnit..

had to buy this!

got them out!

Need to visit the bolt store when i get time! In the mean time i bought some rims for a good price!

True 3 piece!

Test fitting them on my Zenki!

Yea im going to need a FATTER lip in the rear!

Here's a clearer pic!

This kit I bought from lowes! It works like a revers drill bit! I simply just drilled a small hole in the center of the bolt then used the kit and reversed the drill and it came right out! Comes in handy!

Great, the DOC mani is very good it seems and after what I've heard. What intake are you going with?

Must been some wacko those cambolts, breaking on less than the tightening specs lol.
Planning to strip and paint your engine bay too when you first have it like this?

Keep it coming

Peace

I don't see why spend time fabbing up a fire wall and stuff when you could have easily spent 500+ on a front clip and more time fabbing to get it to work and look just as good as you made it hidden behind a dash??

I don't agree with twinspool, this guy could have just spent $700+ on a rhd clip, waited for it to come in, cut out one fire wall then cut the other (don't forget the wipers), and welded it in and in the end spending more time on it, but he just chose the path that saves you money and time and will work just as good and look just as good hidden behind a dash... don't praise this thread!!!

LMAO jk I'm the one doing the fab work on this car, I'm just talking crap hahahahh

Make sure you follow the tightening sequence per FSM. If you dont follow it, you're liable to snap more cam retainer bolts.
