97 240sx KA24de starting issue

been having a starting issue the past couple weeks, started off my maf sensor went bad and it got stuck in limp mode but it would still start, after a day or two of sitting went to start it and starter clicked once, then nothing until i let go of the key it would click again, kept doing that so i check all my fuses cleaned my grounds and wires and now it clicks but there no kick so it still wont turn over? battery is new, alternator is new, all fuses are good, im not sure how old the starter is but i dont want to buy a new one if i dont have to, any ideas if it is the actually starter or could it maybe be a ground wire somewhere?

If the battery is new and fuses are all good, check the battery terminals and voltage at the battery. If all else fails try hitting the starter with a hammer or wrench as in tapping it if it gets it started buy or start saving money for the starter.

Also take your maf out and clean it with maf cleaner take it apart and make sure the contacts inside are touching the wires for the plug, once you open it you'll see what I mean. Clean that mess too it should be a bright silver color.

Another simple check, my starter wire kept falling off, its just a single wire that attaches to your starter. Theres a big power wire, and a smaller wire. the smaller wire is your remote and make sure it's plugged in.
