248/248 cam swap question

alright so i just had an idea and i want to check to make sure i'm not mistaken with my calculations. i have a set of '92 cams and a set of '94 cams. from other threads, i've been informed that the '94 exhaust cams are advanced 4 degrees compared to the '91-'93 cams. given this, couldn't i just use the '92 exh. cam in the exhaust cam position and the '94 exh. cam in the intake position? since the '94 cam has an additional 4 degrees of advance, wouldn't that take care of the issue of the intake cams opening .7 degrees before TDC? instead it would open 3.3 degrees after TDC. according to the cam redrill writeup, it's recommended to redrill the gears with either a 2.5 or 5 degree advance. given this, wouldn't i be right in the middle of those two numbers, without having to redrill my gear(i also wouldn't have to get another set of '91-'93 cams)?
