s13 Hood Restoration S13

This thread be about the hood

Need some help or ideas what to do about my hood. It's rather old and semi-haggard. Don't get me wrong it functions there aren't any super major problems my question is: is it possible to restore our OEM hoods rather than replace with an aftermarket one?

My hood is in all around decent shapes without any dents on top or on bottom but the problems I'm having the hoods frame on the engine side has come apart at some weld so it sags a little so the insulator rubs against the intake a bit causing melting and a grease spot to appear on the top where it rubs.

Is there a way to repair the welded spot that came apart that connected the hoods frame?

Sorry don't know much about this sometimes hard to find good information online.
