Parked car for 2 months, now it won't start. Please help!
Hey guys, I'm stumped and so done with this car at the moment.
Parked the car in November, only thing I have done to it since then was suspension/wheels, never touched anything under hood or anything like that. Go to start the car last week and the battery was dead (red top optima) charged it no problem, go to start car and it turns over fine, but doesn't even try to fire. At all. Getting spark But not fuel, gas makes it up to the rail but not past the injectors for some reason, checked for power and all injectors have power. Thought maybe clogged fuel filter was causing low pressure so I bypassed it but still nothing. Drained tank and put in fresh fuel, still nothing. I don't have a guage to check rail pressure either so kinda a dead end there. What do you guys think? Also, I feel like it's something electrical rather than mechanical, would the battery going right dead (left trunk open a crack) cause something to short or blow something? Car ran fine before I parked it, now it won't start. Someone has suggested I replace the main harness (coil packs/injectors/ignitor/ecu) Also maybe swap the ignitor. But to me it would make more sense if something went wrong when the battery died. I've been trying to figure this out for about a week now and still can't Any help would be appreciated. EDIT: it's an s14 with s13 blacktop in it. (Been swapped for years) |

Take off the rail and see if the injectors are firing, put it over a towel to soak up the fuel if they do. Maybe your fuel pump died and not giving enough pressure or your fpr. Hope you figure it out.

Just drained tank and put fresh fuel in yesterday.
I'm gonna take off the rail and see if injectors are actually firing right now. Is the fpr on the front of the rail with a hose coming off it and a vacuum line at the bottom?? These commonly go? |

I'd go to your local parts store and rent a fuel pressure gauge with a deposit and after get your money back..maybe the fuel you saw earlier was residual fuel there..

I removed cas to check if injectors are firing, when I spin it quickly fuel sprays, but when I reinstall it there's no spray at all.
All the stores around here are closed and have nobody who has a gauge I could borrow. |
