Made this little guy. I have those stupid aero mirrors that you can't see out of so I don't need mirror adjustment controls. I cut the side mirror adjustment controls open and put a small USB charger in it's place. |

Shhhh, let them continue to purchase them. Then when they get in an accident the wheel breaks like that, cuts their wrists, and they bleed out.

Those unknown wood wheels from japan are pretty good. They're actually made in japan and sometimes you can find them in interesting colors/color combinations. The last grip royal I touched was a suede one I think and the fabric wasn't solid on the wheel you could twist it around. Also the way the spokes meet the grip and weird notches near the bolt holes are ugly to me.

I don't understand people's infatuation with bubble shift knobs... I think random rocks cast in them would look cooler than bubbles. Different strokes for different folks.

so my car was auto, so it didn't have the shift cover deal, I might try to make this ford ranger shift boot work with it. The normal shift boots seem too expensive for what they are and it was free heh heh. It looks like the holes will line up just fine, I just done know how well it will look. I'll post a pic of it, if it looks aright. I have a feeling it will either be too long or it's niceness will depend on what shift knob is used |

This is on a s13. The window controls are on the center console. So the phone would go in the cupholder/ashtray or inside the center console.

I can vouch for shit grip royal wheels, bought mine when i was a broke 16 year old without a license. Car sat for a year under a cover and been driving for a couple months and "leather" is already peeling and stitches coming undone.

does anyone know how to refurbish a horn button, or if its even possible? I'm not quite sure what exactly the rubber/vinyl/acrylic material is that makes up the the part of the horn usually with graphics behind it, or how one would go to polish it/buff scratches out. would wet sanding be safe?

A steering wheel attaches your hands to your car, so it's pretty fucking important. Even the best wheels aren't particularly expensive. I have no idea why people cheap out on such an essential part of their car.
Pro-tip: If you want to save even more money on rebranded junk, go straight to the source (Alibaba).

Since we're talking about wheels, I spent around $360 and that was with a discount for a Nardi wheel and I couldn't be more happier. Puts my previous Sparco wheels to shame.

shifters can make quite a change yea, only thing i dislike strongly about my 180sx interior and all other s13 interiors is the ugly ass tennis racket hand brake lol. Not a fan of hydros at all, serves no purpose to me for what I do (or lack thereof). Would be nice to be able to swap it out for say, r35 handbrake, its much smaller and quite sharp, but not too obnoxious and still flows very well with the interior.

Personally I don't mind it as long as there is a nice leather boot around it, which I will eventually buy once I see one I like. I like the 99' Maxima leather boot, might try that.
