Did some 2 hours of dynotuning of which realistic tuning time was 30 mins to make the engine drivable since it was flooding it with AFR 9.0 with 850cc PE injectors, finally we figured out it was the injection multiplier that was too high since we hit the minimum value on the fuel map and still it was AFR 9.0. My friend managed to get it to 11.0 through most of the range, last 1000rpm still AFR 9-10 but still only 250hp/240lbs from engine. The good was that the VCT works great for low end torque and the torque curve is really wide. The final result I have built the engine for is 400hp so I think next month we will go back and do a proper tune.





Attended 200SX megameet in Latvia at 333.lv. It was a blast, the car ran great. Borg Warner EFR 6258 is awesome turbo for drifting, in the small tight hairpins the rpm dropped to 2000rpm and still kept wheels spinning and picked up power so smoothly, love it! Managed to go through 8 tyres without any serious mechanical gremlins, the clutch pedal stuck sometimes. Possibly a slave cylinder in need of replacement/rebuild.

Lately have just been doing driving, car has been running good.
Replaced a faulty clutch slave cylinder which caused some hassle on the track with pedal sticking

I have also had a jig built to finish up my fabulous rear suspension and just need to do some tube bending to finish the upper control arm, but the car is working well right now so I will probably not install it before snow. I just want to drive it for a little while

Car ran pretty good. Things that need adjusting is reducing anti-ackermann, replacing missing idle air screw (just flew off on the track, replaced with duct tape) and improve exhaust mounting as it falls off over the bump after first corner

Tried the new drift wheels in the front:





They actually fit under the fenders No clearance from the strut springs however. I have been thinking of buying something similar to Desmond Regamasters or originals if I can find some at 17x7 +35 range for 4 lug

I have redesigned this for a 5-link setup to get more control over anti-squat and anti-dive, managed to reduce the curves' by 50%, more antis at same suspension compression

3" rear section to replace 2.5":

Bosch motorsport P65 - they have lots of specs, even 3D model on their site, plus it is already inside the ECU defaults. Plus they're only 22€ a piece

Re-wiring it all and not using any oem wires that is connected to the ecu. All mil-spec. MIL-W-22759/16 is so fancy!

Quick exhaust hanging too low fix:



Might need to weld it in place after testing. Currently held in place with same size tubing with 1/4 cut out of the circumference and stainless hose clamps.

Also made a deal with a friend to buy his wheels:



Needed something decent. They are 17x8+25 front and 17x8+15 rear. Going to be needing more narrow tyres to the front but clearance from the strut is much better even with 225 due to lower width. Rotas were 8,5" and also weighed a tonne.
They're with forged barrels so they should handle track duty with decimating itself like one of the Rotas where the inner lip just broke off during weight transfer. Most likely cracked when driving over curbs.

Once I get these I'll get rid of the Wisefab strut relocation brackets and design my own to get some camber to the front wheels to tuck them nice and low.

If you contact Wisefab, they will sell parts separately too. I have no idea when I will upgrade mine to suit my setup better. Most likely in the winter.

Updates for the new drift year:

Creepiest storage area at night ever:

GKtech rear knuckle and lower arm for extra lows with traction and handling:



Fairly low but functional ride height with correct geometry and kinematics



The wheel wells are filled, but 40mm wheelspacer is used so next year I'll design a new setup from the ground up based on stock subframe mounting points:



Design stage:

Main advantage of going 5 link is anti-squat change during suspension travel. From static to 50mm compressed it only changes 6% compared to 60% of OEM 4 link.



Cleaned the interior and removed sound system, ECU placed under the stock radio location for ease of access, mounted with a 3D printed plate (should have taken pictures)



The OEM replacement clutch master cylinder wasn't cutting it as it couldn't hold pressure needed for ACT 6 puck clutch, kept sticking to the floor so I went with a Wilwood 0.62. Pedal is super firm now and not a single issue thus far. The connection is ghetto and needs to be cleaned up as I put together from parts from another project.



Had the engine tuned with the Ecumaster EMU now in charge of running the engine:



Made 307 hp/334 lb-ft torque at wheels so it should be 370 hp and 400 lb-ft at the crankshaft if transmission loss is 20%. Open loop boost control was used, but this should be remedied in the future as the boost response is not as good as before.



Tested the new setup:







Boost response was not as good as before as expected but extra 80 hp was sweet.

Pretty much ready for the season.
