It's funny seeing the guys come on here and call you a dreamer and say it can be built for half your asking price. I'm building the same thing right now and laughed out loud when I read that. I'm gonna guess these guys have never built anything but beater 240's....lemme help out a bit with a short rant....
R154's can't be had for less than 1,500.00 and that's before the rebuild. A marlin crawler rebuild (unless you can do it yourself) will bring the cost of the trans to at least 2,500. Non vvti 2jz motors are going for at least 2,500 and that's my hook up price. Market value is currently closer to 2,900.00. But to be argumentative and make the math easier, I'll keep it at 2,500. So with just the motor and trans you would be at 5k (which was half your original asking price) That's before even buying the car, swap parts, expensive ass excessive mounts and so on. So anyone who calls you a dreamer has a bank account in their moms name and has no idea what it's like to build from any other platform that gran turismo.....end of rant. |

lol thanks Danlandlord.
This build isn't cheap. Most of the people that try to bash my price, with the excuse of building one themselves, are the ones that have NA 2J's with W58's. Doesn't make much sense to me. |
