Vertical flow intercoolers?

anyone using them? seems to be better than the conventional horizontal flow?

seems to flow better but not cool as much?

i was looking for an intercooler that would allow me to retain my stock piping as cops can be aholes in my neck of the woods.. i wanted something similar to the arc reverse flow and found this.

i also found these for those who don't mind the aftermarket intercooler piping look

The arguement is that after the first several inches, an intercooler's ability to cool the charge air dramatically decreases. The added flow of the vertical intercooler is probably the largest benifit, because it's like trying to blow air through a bunch of short straws vs half as many long ones- the length has little to do with the flow, it's just that the added number of rows allows for more air flow. This would probably be where any added cooling would come from, because the air would likely be moving at a lower velocity with more time to cool with all the extra rows.
