Manual Seatbelt Conversion (Headliner)

Okay, so I've got everything from a 180sx to convert my seatbelts to manual, including all the pillars. The only thing that I have not been able to source, is a manual seatbelt headliner. For those that have done this conversion, what did you guys do to fill the gap of the OEM headliner? Or, if someone knows where I can get a JDM/Canadian headliner, message me.

I'm in the same boat. I have to figure out how to extend the edges of my headliner as well. I was thinking of fiberglass or a thick cardboard glued to the edges of my original headliner.

I was actually going to go to my local pick n pull and find another nissan headliner that has the same flat contour. Then I would make a template and cut out what I need from the spare headliner. I was reading that you can glue canvas material down in the back of both pieces to add strength. More than likely I'll have to remove / scrape the original foam off, and then glue a whole new layer of foam. At least that way it will look like one whole piece. Maybe I can show my process and post it up on here.

I remember several years back someone glued thick cardboard and shaped it to cover the areas needed.

Once you get it wrapped with new material, I doubt you'll notice it was missing to begin with.

Although I do have two JDM headliners (non-sunroof coupe and hatch). Kinda spoiled.

I don't know if you remember, but I still have the rocket dancer wing you sold me, years ago. If you are game to sell the headliner, I'd be totally down to cover the shipping.

My friend Tim just had this done to his car:

Might be worth asking him in his build thread here on Zilvia:

http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=654215&page=2

I was fortunate enough to have a friend from Zilvia located in Toronto source a Canadian headliner for me for $20 CAD and bring it over the border to Michigan- lucked out!
