I like using the S14 I bought & am re-doing as an example of doing it wrong. Check out how the previous owner wired up the S15 headlights for the front end conversion...
Went to remove the headlights to find I couldn't unplug anything because everything was hardwired & crimped together... To power the running lights he joined a piece of like 16awg to a piece of speaker wire. Joined the passenger & driver side together then ran it to the interior fuse box for 12v accessory This didn't take long & I'm not happy with it so odds are I'll re-do it but whoever worked on this car previously should be hung & shot!

I posted this previously... Body kit was molded on & I was worried the rockers/quarters might have been damaged. I wasn't keeping the skirts/bumper either so... I wanted to see how the bare metal looked.

Why do people think it's cool to mount flares a foot below the factory arch?
Even worse is molding them in with Play-Doh. And he Play-Doh'd the upper and lower body lines. It gets worse the longer I look.

Jesus fucking christ that blue thing. I really wonder if the owner actually thinks it looks good. I mean, with some of these DIW cars I do get the appeal when I try to. But this piece of garbage truly makes me angry, nothing about it looks even remotely right of thought out. I think I'm just going to sleep and try to forget I ever saw it. Fuck me I want to die.

I entered into the first turn at about 65, flick initiated and immediately I could feel I had no rear grip. I gave it some gas to see if any forward grip would happen and nothing. Saw the wall coming, turned into the spin and full throttled through the car to keep my momentum swinging through the crash instead of an abrupt stop. Had a pretty sore neck and the car is totaled but i saved the silvia front and all my drive train. That track is no joke full commitment with big consequences for messing up. Hot lapping with over 20 other cars at the same time, everyone going hard as hell with their cars. I had a blast at Villains Sportsland all weekend and literally one set of shit tires ended it for me. Lessons learned. New chassis has a cage and I'm never running mediocre tires at a track with walls again!! If you want to see the crash here ya go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7LbmOyk2r4 Saw this post the other day and it summed it up nicely. Even the best drifters wreck their cars. If you are trying to get into drifting...YOU WILL WRECK YOUR CAR. And there's nothing wrong with that. That's what drifting is about. It's a learning experience. You're gonna smash your rear end trying to run that wall. You're gonna rip your body kit off trying to get as close as possible to those clipping points. So don't worry about those people who look down on you because you wrecked your car. If it's fixable then fix it. If not...buy another shell and keep doing what makes you happy! Just remember! If you're gonna get good at anything...whether it's music, skating, or drifting. You're going to break some strings, you're gonna break some bones, and you're gonna break your car! It's all love
