How Do I Install r32 rear diff. on s13???

Hey guys I'm new to 240's haha but I have an r32 rear diff that I want to install on my car. How do I do this? Is it a direct bolt in or am I gonna have to find?fab some stuff up?

honestly i have no clue. im guessing its a non abs model b.c. it has no sensors or anything

Well anyways you will need to swap the rear covers and use the s13 one on the r32 diff. You will also need axles since i think they use 5 bolt style correct.

I believe the gtr model is similar to a q45 rear swap where you need a 300zx tt driver axle and a q45 driver axle in the passenger side. or use the gtr axles no sure on that part, but u will also need new hubs for the axles and re drill the tail shaft where the drive shaft attaches to the diff.


All this will probably not be worth it depending on what you want to do with your car

I did the swap with 5bolt axles a while ago, I don't think I swapped rear covers though. R32 GTS? 4.36 vsld into a 1993 SE

yea its not worth the 5 lug conversion to me. its gonna be a drift car haha

yeap i have the r32 vlsd too but i dont know if its the gts one. mine is plug and play, i didnt have to switch the diff cover or anything and i used the 5 bolt axle too. im doing like 70 on the freeway and its around 5000rpm!!! gas mileage sucks too!!!
