To be accurate, NONE of those vehicles are JGTC and only possess a silhouette body. These are SCCA GT(3) based tube frame cars with single cam 250-280 BHP engines if my memory serves me correctly.

Yes im well aware. I like showing it as a comparison of what the US & Japanese created. Both variations are excellent & im sure it gives a little hope to the SOHC ka guys. I wasn't sure what to call the exoskeleton since its like a square box reinforcement. Tubes are ussually round.

Those are $10-$20K race engines (mostly from Robello).........so yeah.

And as far as tubes are concerned, tube chassis is just a term for the type of chassis built. If you look closely, the chassis (in particular, the greenhouse) is actual a proper tube frame, but the standoffs for the bumper and such are box section tubing.

Like I said, "gives them hope" its ussually the 1st motor to get thrown away so at least they can smile knowing it was used in these races. Obviously no one is going to dump that kind of $. I was just interested in the rack location, im thinking of other possible super hicas front racks that might be interchangeable with the s14; without finding a s13 one which are basically all gone

LOL! Those race engines with the 7.25" triple clutch do not like to live below 6000RPM. As I said, $10-$20K RACE (emphasis on the RACE) engines . I would throw away SOHCs in a hearbeat as all they are is a paperweight. The head flow is terrible, they are oversquare (or whatever it may be) and revs to about 6000RPM reliably. Class rules determine what type of engines are used.

S13 and S14 racks are close, but not exact. The tie rods are of different length for instance.

But anyways, not to derail the thread.......

Nice those were some good stats. I'm actually thinking j30 might, they were super hicas from 93-94 I believe. Crossmember was like a 4 point mount square I think for the Vg and im not sure about tie rods either (although maximas tie rods fit so why wouldnt J30?) but hell its basically a s14 rear subframe wise.. ill do some measuring next time i find one. Im mostly worried about the mounting location but im sure it could be fabricated if its in reasonable space
