In the process of ordering a set of welds for my s14. Looking to do a set of 28x10.5 15 inch rim(rear) and 17 inch runner upfront. Curious to know what offset or backspacing is best. Does anyone have a picture or a DRAG wheel on a 4.5 backspacing

8in is way to small for a 28.10.5

4.5in spacer?

Well than IMO 8in is way to small for a 28.10.5, and 4.5in of spacer is way to much , why would you ned this much spacer. Buy correct backspace or something close and use a small spacer

Just spoke with a very nice rep from Jegs and a fellow s13 owner himself! Here is what we came up with.

Weld alumi stars up front 17X4.5 with a 2 inch backspacing 26 inch tall upfront

Weld alumi stars out back 15x9 with 5.0 backspacing. a 27X10.5 tire most likely Mickey Thompson dot. Mind you I make 4xx to the tire and its a 95.

5inch backspace isnt enough for a 15x9 you need at least a 6 inch

6.75 to 7 inch BS is about perfect for a 9 inch wheel

I use 5.5in BS on a 15x8 and they fit perfectly.
Not sure if you can really tell in this picture.

I'm Well aware he said 9in. I'm just saying what fit nicely as a 8in wheel. If one can do math they can figure the BS they will need for a 9in wheel.

Way way too small, we use them on all motor Hondas up to about 300whp then move up to a 24.5 above that.

So determine what your priorities are, either drag the car's balls in the dirt or run a useable suspension setup capable of transmitting power to the ground. In other words raise it, it doesn't handle worth a damn THAT low anyway. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Low street/drift car is the main priority with my s chassis, was just curious if anyone had run a tire that small on a strip as I might mess aroud with some local 1/8 mile stuff this summer, If I can find some 22/23" slicks cheap enough I will try it, can't do any worse than my 205/50 will

My friend run 22" slick on his s13. He got 1.7 60 foot and 7.8 in 1/8 mile. I think 22" n is not bad if you really want to use it

This is what I was lookin for, if I could pull a 1.6-1.7 60' at my local track I'd be content with that, that's a lot better than my 205/50 will get me

What kind of rear camber are you guys running? I'm running a 27x10.5x15 hoosier on a 10 inch wheel with about 750 rwhp. Just looking for a good starting point

If it's a drag only car, you'll want positive static camber. When you squat, you'll dip in to the negatives. I'd start at +.5 and sdjust from there.

I'll be adding a racepak later on and can use shock travel sensors to get a good idea how much the car is squating when it spins and set the camber to zero at that height but thats a few months down the road.
