I'd like to start right off by thanking the people you have helped me with this project, as much of this would not be possible without their help. Ricky at Raw Brokerage has always been the first person I go to for parts, and has the RB market covered. Between Geoff at Full-Race and Rob at RIPS, no question goes unanswered, and there work speaks for itself. My Dad for keeping me motivated over the years, and most importantly, my right hand man Dave for opening up his garage to me and being involved every step. Thanks again everyone


The Beginning....
This project actually started off a few years ago as just a motor, without knowing what it would end up in. Wanting to do something a little different, a 2003 350Z Track Edition was purchased as the platform for the conversion. The car was in great condition and it actually seemed like a shame to tear apart such a nice car. I will do my best to keep the thread updated, and I hope everyone enjoys.

Thanks to my friend Dave, the car will have a nice home over the winter. The garage is fully equipped with welders, mill, lathe, a lift, but most importantly HEAT.





One of the cool design features that lead me to the 350Z was the secondary firewall. Much of what you don't want to see in an engine bay is mounted behind the firewall, and creates a very clean look right from the factory.

I must again praise the engineering simplicity that Nissan implemented into this car. Aside from a couple a small connectors, the engine harness was completely isolated from the body harness and was able to be removed independently without disturbing the rest of the harness. After disconnecting the ECU plug, the is able to be removed very easily through the bulkhead.



Being that I did not have the slingers to attach the engine hoist, I was assured that the center of the timing cover could be used along with a bellhousing bolt.

I can't say enough great things about the guys at Full-Race and their products are short of unmatched in quality and development. Whether it be a record breaking time attack car or your daily driver, Full-Race has is covered, and covered well. Geoff (Engineer) has compiled an extensive archive of information through testing in his R14, which is an invaluable resource to the GTR/RB community. This manifold was not just made to fit and look pretty, like many are, but was designed to allow the engine to reach its maximum potential in all areas of its powerband. Much of the manifold is robotically welded and is truly a work of art.

that manifold was used, on my r14 time attack car. it was freshly recoated before selling it to Ian. the flanges moved around a little from all the heat cycling (different gaps) but once it is tightened down on the studs it straightens out.

Aside from RIPS and Full-Race, nearly every other component for this build was purchased through Ricky at RawBrokerage. For quite some time they have had the RB market covered in the US, and have expanded to much more than that. When it comes to platforms like the Skyline, you cannot put a value on a good customer support. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to order parts from someone who has never even seen the vehicle you are ordering them for. Ricky has had personal experience with nearly every item that I have purchased from him, and knows what works and what doesnt.

Hmm...I just noticed that too. Looks like an RB25 looking at the exhaust bolt pattern.

Yes, the RB25 is only being used for mock up, as I do not want to damage the already built RB26. The RB25 will likely be for sale shortly after I complete the mock up.
