1990 240SX SE Hatch w/ KA24DE and Extras | $2500

Copied from my CL ad:

1990 240sx SE
~174k miles (actual miles lower since speedometer reads 20mph higher)
Hatchback
'91dual cam ka24de swapped in with 80k miles
Short throw shifter
248/248 cam swap
CAI
Catless exhaust
S14 seats (mint)
Welded diff
strut braces front and rear
lower front subframe brace
Rear subframe mounts
MDU coilovers
dual Head Unit with Ipod Integration, AUX input. Stock speakers don't do it justice!
Drift button on ebrake..

Issues with car:
Has a miss in #3, poor sparkplug wire to blame. I didn't have time to fix it but its only $40 for a set of wires. Has new NGK plugs.

Broke OD/Reverse shift fork, so I would bought another trans to swap in out of a 91 with 70k miles. Again, didn't have time to swap the trans so you get the new spare trans ($200).

Open to offers. Car can be loaded onto trailer even with miss but I wouldn't drive it more than that before new wires are installed.

Car has small dings but not bad for a 23 year old car. The only rust is on driver side rocker panel.

Engine has a slight oil leak, primarily from sitting (probably the cause of the miss). I never had a chance to put a serious amount of miles on it.

Also comes with another set of stock alloy wheels and a mix-match set of OE and steelies with junk tires on them. Stock shifter, stock cams, a stock 232 cam to swap in the exhaust side for a bit more low end and midrange torque, and a stock S13 passenger side seat.

Price is 2500 OBO.

If you have any questions about it feel free to ask me. It was a drift toy for a while, then I picked it up, drove it on the street for a while, then lost interest in the project.

It ran a best of 15.3 at 80 something mph at 2850lbs with me in it, with the Michelin hyrdoedge tires on the back. 800 treadware FTL... Great dorifto tires, though.

Alright, any takers?

You said the miss was due to the sparkplug wires, but then you said the leaking oil was probably a cause of the miss... which one because that could make a huge difference.

It has an oil leak that I believe to be caused by sitting, just like the miss as it sat for a few month then I fired it up and voila there's a miss. I replaced a dead injector, fixed the miss, it sat again, miss came back in a different cylinder, replaced plugs, it went away, sat, now miss is back. I haven't done any more diagnostics.
