hah thanks man. Hope you are able to do it one day. Def a more fun car with one.

ahhhh. Not very sure from a civilian aspect. Either Join the Military and pray you get your pick for Japan (can be difficult depending on the career you choose), get a contactor job for the military, Ive heard ppl "Teaching English" here get jobs for a year or so.

Or become fluent in Japanese Marry a local and become a Japanese Citizen lol

sorry not much help haha

Thanks, unfortunately I'm not sure on that issue as its been 4 years since oven done any electrical work on these. Quite possible the wiring is not correct at the F4 plug.

So finally after 4 years I am reunited with my babies! They need a whole lot of TLC after sitting outside under a tarp for 4 years. But they fire up and run as if nothing happend.

Needed to replace the Alt, rebuild the rear axles, and change out the rear tires.

Fun Fact S14 rear axle boots (Inner and Outer) are the same as a GT-R's right side inner boot

Ugh everytime you post you make me want to buy an RB. If I felt I could get one running with a/c, p/s, heat with no cooling issues I'd buy one in a heartbeat but everytime I go through this thread I realize this is waaaaaaaaay over my head.

It's not that bad, I don't think you would have an issue.

When I had the A/C in mine it ran fine until the compressor died.

With my current setup my temps are sitting around 80-85*C with outside temp in the 80-90s

Not sure if I can go though with it but been thinking about selling the S14 and getting a G35 Sedan.

Been thinking it would be nice to have at least one stock power plant car that I can just go to Autozone to and get replacement parts, or not worry about road conditions cuz the car is too low and have 4 doors since I have a child now.

I think the G35 will be better for taking on the road since I might be driving long distances more now that im back in the states.

I built this car to be my obtainable Skyline, but now that I have 2 of them I guess I dont need this one anymore

Plus building 5 cars is starting to wear on me, hell kinda thinking about selling the AE86 as well.

The State side air is affecting your judgement. It's poisonous.... Don't fall victim to the 'Old Man Syndrome'..... FIGHT IT!!!! lol

I'm not saying don't get a reliable car for you and the family. But add it to the stable. If you get rid of the cars that you put so much sweat and tears into, you might end up regretting it. These cars are NOT easy to come by. So if there is a way for you to keep them, do it.

My 1.5 cents because recession.

I think the only car I'd get rid of my s14 for was a GTR. (Which you already own.) So what's the point? lol

haha right, i know I would regret selling this car as I love the S14 Kouki body and the sound of a straight piped RB makes ppl question whats in the car lol

I mainly started thinking about it cuz my rebuilt alt I had rebuilt less than 2,000 miles ago died when i was leaving AL to NC an hour after leaving and had get it back to my house and drop $200 on getting it rebuilt again that would normally take a day or 2 to get done but luckily after telling them I was Military they got it done for me in a few hours.

But after the new Alt was in I drove it 11hrs 800 miles with zero issues at 70-75 mph loaded down and still got 22mpg hahah

Although the failure is more than likely to have been due to being rebuilt in Louisiana by this shitty shop. but had I been in BFE I'd have been up shit creek with no alternator.

I dont think I can manage anymore cars but I guess I'll see what happens when the GTR gets here and I get settled in.

yeah thats what i was getting at too, love the car still but for my family i need something with a little more space and comfort. I'll still mod it lol

I think id really hate that if something broke on it and not being able to fix it due to life then having it just sit for a long time before fixing it.

plus if i move again moving 5 cars is a fuck ton of money.

Too many toys. lol I currently have an SR s14 and love it to death. I feel you on wanting a larger car though. If evo's weren't so damn expensive / unreliable I'd grab one as a daily and retire the s14 to weekend warrior status until I'm ready to upgrade to a GTR.

Hahah thanks for the offer, the problem I gotta deal with now is where to put them. I don't have the space for 5 cars up here now

First world problems right hahah

So finally found a house here in NC. Just sucks having all this garage space and no tools to work on anything yet. Hopefully next month my tools will arrive.

And the first garage decoration, I got a bunch more whenever my stuff gets here.

So no alts fit the RB? I just assumed the Z32 would fit. You have to get it rebuilt everytime? Did you get the A/'c compressor rebuilt too?

Haha yeahhhh!

I have heard you can but modification is necessary to make it fit, according to FAST it's different.

I've had to so far, but have a spare if and when it dies lol

Nah havet had a chance to mess with the AC, I did get another compressor from an R33 when I went to Okinawa 5 or so years ago lol

Need to get the system flushed first

I just went through this whole post! Great work, I had a s13 vert did a rb25 series two swap, but last month I just picked up a 91 Silvia Q sr20de auto two tone with 41k miles, pulled the rb out of my vert, pulled all the brand new suspension, z brakes, 350z seats etc and currently swapping it into the Silvia now, getting ready to pull the sr out.

Silvia with just the coils switched

The rb when it was in the vert

Well been waiting 3 years to install this wing. Fairly easy but time consuming to do it right.

The clutch pedal on the S14 has been squeaking for a long while now, so I knew that meant the plastic bushing was gone and the spring had been grinding away on the pedal.

Finally got around to ripping it out and seeing the damage on it.

Luckily the spring is fine just t pedal had taken all the damage, luckily I have a welder to fix it back up, and replacement bushings in my inventory lol.

While I was at it I decided to beef up the pedal frame and stitch weld it a bit more.

Then Replaced these old, cracked and weak coil packs with my olds ones from the RB26.

Guess which ones are the old ones lol

Should run a whole lot better now.

Well some of you may or may not know it but the S14 is up for sale.

never thought I would sell this car but not having much parking space and other projects and a bigger family I needed something more family oriented. Originally that's what the 4 door R32 was gonna be for but I wanted something I can get replacement parts for at a local autozone if I'm on the road.

So introducing the new whip, 2003 G35. Just picked it up and of course I had to get the 6 speed manual.

Came with quiet a few bolt ons, a few I'm not a fan of, headlights being the main thing. Can't see shit with the low beams.

Exhaust doesn't really flow to me but makes the VQ sounds good so I'll leave it for now.

Why couldn't you have waited till next year when I have money to spend?!!! Lol.

Man I so wish it was 2018 (wifey agreed to let me have cash to swap my s14 in 2018).

I'd be begging you to let me buy the swap and pay you to put it in lol. Seriously though glws.

How do you like the G35? I had a buddy pickup a sedan as a DD and now it has me thinking.

Damn that is a shame to hear! Another quality build going to stop. But I'm sure you can always make a new build thread of something!

I hope you don't regret this. Seems like clean, nice chassis' are getting harder and harder to find especially if it takes a while for you to regret selling yours.

haha sorry man, if I had the space I'd hold on to it a little bit longer but the drive way is too crowed now. Im renting a house and in the lease contract they said I cannot park on the grass. other wise Id park it on the side of the house lol

thus far Im liking it. Newst car ive ever owned lol Its got a good bit of upgrades so it feels quick and its comfortable. Feels like a good compromise if you want a sporty family car.

yeah but the skylines are taking all of my attention away now. I have a bad habbit that when I get something new all my attention gets focused on that for a quiet a bit.

Yeah been thinking about making a little build thread for the G35 lol

It saddens me to think about it but Ive been thinking it over for quiet some time so its not spontaneous so I dont think I will regret it too much.

I really love this car and I think it looks so sexy When I watch the wife drive the car around.

I really built this car cuz I missed my R33 I had in Oki back in 04 but now that I have a R32 it fills that need.

so this thing had an alarm in it when I first got it and it slowly malfunctioned during the time i owned it. Finally got around to ripping it out. It was horribly wired in one of the reasons I did nt take it out a while ago cuz I was afraid to see how the person wired it in.

luckily it wasnt bad

Satisfying

And the long overdue battery relocation .
