Does anyone have tips on holding a swivel fitting still while tightening it? I have a 45degree fitting that keeps turning while I tighten it, I'm having trouble holding it at the right angle I need it at while I tighten the nut.

When setting a tps on a KA should it be set at the resistance rating with the sensor unplugged or at the voltage on the signal wire when it's plugged in?

I would lean towards ACT and choose one that is enough to handle how much torque your car's putting out. For daily driving, something with a sprung hub and anything labeled stage 1 through 3, but it's all subjective.

Alright, so I decided to adjust my throttle cable and every single time I adjust the cable I check to see if my pedal is is stiff. At first when I press on the gas it feels normal, but once I push it down it looses again. What do I need to do so it can stay stiff? Thanks.

I know most of this aero is Hot Road, but can someone please identify the front fenders & where to get them. Pretty sure they're not Koguchi either...

Plugged in. slip a thin paper clip up by the wires, into the back of the plug, for your probes.

Thanks. I read to do both but when the voltage I right the resistance is off and vice versa so I wanted to check

ACT XTSS will hold 350'# of torque. This means most four cylinders up to about 400hp will work with this clutch. With the accompanying 13# flywheel, a nice combo as most of the cubic displacements to around 2.6L only produces 350'# on 8-12 pounds of boost. You go more boost, you will need a multi puck disc that as you all know has the street manners of a crack whore

so i just did a five lug conversion on my s13 and im using non-abs s14 rotors in the front. They are like 1-2mm thicker than what i had on and when i drive im guessing the rotor just rubs on the pads? will this go away over time since the pads will get thinner?

1-2 mm thicker shouldn't rub. But no if they're dragging u did something wrong. And it won't just wear out it will get hot as shit and seize up your wheel

I want more camber in the front of my s14, I already maxed out my PBM camber plates (Please do not suggest slotting the top coil over mount hole)

I was interested in extending my FLCA 25mm I but idk if i need longer inner tie rods, and if i also need other supporting modifications.

Thanks,
Oz.

I just finished assembling my sr20det from a rebuild on a stand and the last thing I needed to do was to install the oil pan..so without thinking about it I flipped the motor and put the pan on..my question is should I be worried about the lifters loosing there prime? It was flipped for about a hour or so..?

The plastic piece that lies behind the gas pedal that holds the cable, is that suppose to be intact? Meaning it is not suppose to be loose, correct?

If so how can I repair this issue? Any place to get that piece specifically? Thanks.

I'm in need to upgrade my radiator before the summer comes... My only concern is, I have heard that some radiators require the OEM fan shroud to be trimmed and some radiators don't require trimming... my question is why, and which radiators don't require trimming if any apply.

This is going on a S13 SR20DET

Cheap and reliable dont go hand in hand. I wouldnt buy a knockoff turbo, but thats just my opinion.

Other things to consider:

-BC cams aren't degreed correctly and aren't the greatest unless you plan on getting adjustable cam gears -- then they can be really good. I would recommend HKS step 1's or some JWT cams if you dont want to upgrade your springs/retainers. If you've got titanium hardware then HKS step 2's are awesome and so are the JWT S4.

-Will your current clutch handle ~350ish ft/lbs of torque? If not, you'll need to upgrade that for that kind of horsepower, or run lower boost

-How are you tuning? Factor in the cost of a reflash if you're using an enthalpy tune, or $ for the tuner's time if using a standalone (probably not if you are going the cheap route)

-What size are your wheels and the tires on them? Will you even be able to put that power to the ground?

-Are you running stock brakes? 400hp with single piston calipers sounds like a death wish

-Do you have a generic tiny intercooler?

Its not always as easy at is seems...you know...buy a few parts and throw it on and hit that magic 400hp number

Ouch, flipped the motor just to install the oil pan? :P Come on man, just get on the ground to do that! I would do as the other person suggested and bleed them again. It sucks to have to take out the cams and everything but would you rather do it now or when the motor is in the car?

Id say just get the the radiator you want, if you have to trim your shroud, big deal, do it. However my stock fan shroud fits perfectly on my Mishimoto rad, no trimming needed. This is on a twin cam KA though, NOT a SR20

Trunk hole in my s14 fucked up cause of shimmying. Key fits only like a little bit more than half way can't turn it since it's not fully in any way to fix it? Metal hole sagging a bit on to a metal piece to prevent me from putting key. Trunk release in my car is disconnected never used it.

If everything is about suspension stiffness, then why hasn't a manufacturer come out with "coilovers" that are just solid struts that have an adjustable height? Most guys where I'm drifting don't daily their car at all, they're all track cars. Wouldn't it make sense to absolutely eliminate body roll since most guys are going slammed anyways?

I have 10/8 springs and couldnt imagine going any stiffer. It would probably cause you to puke or rattle your kidneys into being inoperative
