KA24DET - Help a girl out.

Potentially giving up on this thing if I don't make some progress. Could use some guidance from here.

Originally swapped a running ka42det into an s13 shell. Build included walbro 300 fuel pump, 550cc injectors, z32 maf, 57trim turbonetics turbo, tuned ecu..

With that set up, car will start and idle - but if given any gas immediately floods out and dies. Dizzy timing is right.
After many late nights and minor adjustments we decided to swap in some of the stock parts. Went back to stock ecu, and 275cc injectors (kept z32 maf, fuel pump, and turbo).... car starts, idles, and allows throttle... but got hot as fuck, melted some lines. Tried to go back to stock maf --- car will not run or idle with maf plugged in. If unplugged, idles and allows some throttle - but eventually dies.

Any thoughts? Much appreciated.

I'd double check that tuned ECU.

what he said^ what kind of ecu? try a enthalpy if its not already. if it is just get a reflash.
