If you're scared of breaking the bolts due to age, buy new bolts. Unless they've seen some serious stress, I doubt there's anything wrong with them. Don't think they're one time use like head bolts.

That looks like the clutch/parking switch wiring that let you start the car. Tie em together (not to ground) and you wont have to be in park or neutral to start the car.

Any snow town is like Hawaii. Salt and sand are common seasonally, but Hawaii is 24/7/365. Look for a local ZIEBART or company that dos the rust proofing process correctly. This means lightweight media blasting, cleaning, then applying a rust proof anti corrosion coating.
On ANY 240, this is a worthwhile process to pay for or do. Why? Because 20 year old cars are a bitch to work on and this greatly helps to make it just a little easier down the road when you get under it for on reason or another.

Im gonna give them a call. This is for a G35 I picked up. Ive looked underneath it and the chassis is rust free just some components like exhaust, bolts and a few brackets that are rusted to sh*t. Since I plan on keeping the car for a while I may as well do some preventative maintenance

I have a s13 sr20det and it's been running fine with no issues, I took the intake manifold to replace a few coolant lines and one fuel injector. I bleed air from cooling system. The car idled fine and I pull it out of my drive way then it dies. I noticed I forgot to connect the tps so I connect it and it doesn't change, it just cranks but doesn't fire. Could driving it with no tps plugged in have caused this? I checked everything that I unplugged and it's all connected. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciate

I ordered a set of s13 180sx tails which came without the bulbs/wiring/sockets I've searched for hours and can't find where to get these?
All I really found was the part numbers:
Socket Assy-RR 26556-60F00
Socket Assy-RR 26551-60F00
Which I can only find on rhd japan and don't want to wait who knows how long for just some of the sockets (don't have the reverse socket numbers)

My question is are there any sockets stateside or universal sockets that I can modify to fit?

You can just try some universal 7443 pigtails and solder them up. It might involve you snipping or cutting some of the socket tabs off to match OE ones. I was thinking of doing this since mine are so ancient and brittle; falling into pieces.

Someone here and on eBay are selling the adapter plugs too so you don't have to cut up your OE harness.

Ok guys new to the forum and I did try to search this question, surprised I didn't find my answers. I've never owned a 240 and looks like my search is about to begin. When looking at swapped cars what problems should I be looking for and is there anything I should pay close attention to.

For starters, hack jobs. Half assed wiring and such will make life difficult and you'll want to torch the car.

Nearly every 240 I checked out had a mangled frame and or wiring issues, check every inch for those and rust, 240s are never short of surprises

Ive been reading conflicting info on s14 and s13 rlca. So heres my question.
Ive been trying to install my rear suspension and it hasnt been going very well.
My ruca are hitting my coil overs is the main problem.

Will a s13 rlca fuck everything up? Could that be the problem? Or are the kazama ruca j too beefy lol? Here are my mods.
Bws coils, gk tech knuckles, kazama ruca, pbm toe rod, pbm tension rod, s13 rlca. And this is all on a 180sx with s14 subframe. Any help/insight appreciated.

Doubt it has anything to do with the rlca

What coilovers do you have? BWS? Never heard of it

I'm assuming you have the single arm style ruca, like the pbm ones and not the oe style ones where the coil goes through the "hole" in it. If that's the case, those style don't fit all coilovers and tend to hit the collars when lowered in some cases. Choices are to raise the coils, or change the ruca or coils

Are s14 rlca longer than s13? And it might be time to get out the trusty angle grinder if thats the case.
Bws-broad way static.
Only reason i ask about the rlca is because these gktech knuckles are weird and have shit at all different angles. And when the rlca isnt connected i have ample room in between coil and ruca. So if s14 is longer it might help.

Why not just flip the ruca to the other side of the coilover?
