Bolt on air filter

hey my friend recently sold his 90 240 and gave me his air filter and we bolted it on but there are now 2 tubes that are open to the air and I wanted to see if anyone knew if I need to cap those off or something, thanks.

Well the hose is the aiv which is supposed to be connected to an unmetered filtered air source. You could just remove the aiv, or slap a filter of some sort on that hose.

The other thing i think is where the air comes in from below the car, and theres a box down there in the fender that doesnt do anything. You can leave that alone.
