Went 10.7 the other day, car should be going faster alot faster.... but it always runs super hot at the track and i needs driver mod!!! Thats about the only thing i can think of why its so slow for the power it makes...
I got my 60ft down to the low 1.7 range and have got a 1.69 once but missed a gear car was stuffed full of fuel this time out as well as i had to drive another 40 miles to work after i raced.. so it was probably close to 3300 lbs all said and done. I was just reading that your not supposed to use a Nismo slave cylinder with the Nismo coppermix twin disk so maybe clutch wasnt releasing enough for me to quickly change gears?? i was struggling all night with slow shifts and missed gears. not my best pass but, best video of car http://vid219.photobucket.com/albums...240%2010.9.mp4 |

@BKG....haha I am sure you know that 18x13's are not the best for the track but I give you credit for even risking Equips on the run. I would not recommend running Street Radials on the track only Bias Ply. Much more forgiving on the drive train overall and obviously much better design for grip. I will have some for sale as soon as I get back to NY for business.

Yeah, its a 28" ET street. Thanks. I'm lowered on coils, so it rubs a little during a launch. My back spacing is 5.5

Not sure then.....these were taken directly from Freed on his final setup. If I remember correctly he had stock rear brakes and his description above. I am sure if you emailed him he wouldn't mind clarifying.

Is anyone running 15x8's with 4.5" of backspacing? If so, could you please chime in and post a picture?

New best tonight, however I missed 3rd gear, so I should've been much faster.

I know this is the worst possible question to ask in this thread, but I'll do it anyways.
What is a ROUGH expectation of 1/4mile time on a stock body s14 with 400whp/340tq coming from an SR with GTX2867 and Z33transmission running on typical "drift" suspension with some 275 street tires. Again, I know this is vague, just looking for a BALLPARK of what to aim for with a decent/experienced driver. |

I wouldn't give him 12's. I'd say at best with "street tires and drift suspension" you're looking at low 13's. 60ft is where all the magic happens. If you can get a good 60ft, you'll have a better shot at a 12sec pass.

It's all about driver skill and 60'. I ran a 12.2 with a 1.8 60' on 245 all season street tires in my s13 with a sr20 gt2871r. 64 @ 17psi. Car wasn't setup for drag at all.
Bumped the boost up to 23psi with meth injection and ran 11.6@ 121mph on the same 245 all season street tires. 1.74 60' |

My stockish S14 with 2860 rs and SR20, and all external bolt ons went 11.2@122mph on drag wheels and tires, launching off a msd dis4 2 step, set at 6000rpm.
Our 2jz s13 has gone 8.9@155. Lots of fun. If anyone needs a front drag brake set up for the s chassis, ... I used 2004 maxima rear rotors (solid 11.5" disk). Wilwood forged dynalite 4 piston calipers, and a custom bracket I buikt from 1/2" aluminum.. Saved 20 pounds, stops awesome, and can use a flat back front skinny drag wheel with no spacers. |

AFTER a ton of mystery and sleepless nights lol, I finally found the OG drag 240 guys!
@Santos I bought your S13 back in Sept 2015, it's now V8 swapped (don't be mad) I know you were not find of the LS swapped 240s but this is just how it has to be! Just know it's in very good hands (I messaged you on FB for more history on the car). I'm actually planning on running the same Weld RTS and coincidentally I already hit up Import Drag Solutions for a set of those QA1's. I'm shooting for about 800+ whp on a TH400 (3800rpm stall) (installed). Plans are to go 8's eventually. The car came with your B&M/master cylinder line lock hahaha. Funny thing is the previous owner mentioned someone running the SR to 600whp out in LA (I live in San Jose, CA) and I have seen the blue coupe in google pics but I never had proof it was my 240 until this thread. Thanks for documenting everything especially all the wheel /slick specs. I too came from the EVO game (VIII 6466 E85 gutted) and decided I wanted a S chassis V8 car. Nice to meet you all! img upload |

What tire pressure do guys use on bias ply tire? Do you use tire tube in them? I see people put 10 psi on them. It look scary . It looks like flat tire. I use mt et street bias ply at 15 psi . It snapped the output shaft on sr tranny clean at launch. It moved 2 inches.

I would only use the inner tube on wheel/tire setups that allow for the tires to be screwed in. I have seen a few instances in which the inner tube has caused for the valve stem to come loose or rip off while racing....not a good thing.
