GKTech - S13/S14/S15 Replacement Engine Fan - 60% More Airflow

S13/S14/S15 Replacement Engine Fan - 60% More Airflow

The GKTECH replacement engine fan has been designed and engineered in Australia specifically for us with the intention of pulling more air than the factory item. Surprisingly, this was very easy to design and the design that our engineering firm came up with is based around the design of a propeller. It is a direct replacement clutch fan for the S13/180sx, S14 and S15 SR20 powered Silvia's/200sx's. Simply remove your factory fan (4 bolts) and install the new fan.

- Direct replacement of the standard fan
- Pulls 60% more air than the factory SR fan and pulls around 40% more air than the factory RB25 fan (a common upgrade)
- When tested on a dyno the new fan took less than half the time to cool down from 90 degrees to operating temperature (good for next time you're on the start line at the track)
- Only a slight increase in noise (barely noticeable)

Vehicle Compatibility:
Nissan Silvia S13/240sx (SR20 & KA24 only)
Nissan 180sx/240sx (SR20 & KA24 only)
Nissan 200sx/240sx S14 (SR20 & KA24)
Nissan 200sx S15

NOTE: Can not be used in conjunction with Nismo engine mounts as the mounts raise your motor approximately 20mm's which will make our fan hit your radiator shroud (our fan is 15mm larger in diameter than the factory fan).

Price: 79 AUD (approx. 68 USD)

Shipping cost: From 36 AUD (approx. 34 USD)

Zilvia.net intro offer of $30 shipping credit when you spend over $100 using the discount code "Zilvia.net" in the checkout for the month of July.

FAQ

What's the advantage of having more air flow?
We tested the clutch fan on a test vehicle in a controlled environment (on a dyno) with back to back tests and from 90 degrees celcius it took less than half the time to go from 90 degrees to idle operating temperature.

Will this fit my car?
Please refer to the confirmed vehicle list in the item description. We do not sell any items that aren’t listed on our website and if we haven’t confirmed fitment on your car, then we don’t know if it will fit or not. Please do not ask.

How do clutch fans compare to thermo fans?
If you've ever been to the track with thermo fans you know that unless setup with a shroud and setup correctly, they're useless. Clutch fans with the standard shroud are the way to go.

What's the weight on the clutch compared to the standard item?
The standard clutch fan is 415mm's in diamter and weighs in at 640grams. Our new design is 430mm's in diameter and coincidentally also weighs 640grams.

What is the clutch fan made of?
The clutch fan has a metal center (like the factory unit) and is made of ABS plastic (like the factory unit).

Will I lose any engine power with the fan pulling more air?
No, with our dyno tests on the same car within 30 minutes of each test with multiple runs made we actually GAINED around 1% in power with the new clutch fan installed. The cause of this? There was less heat soak and everything was running cooler.

This all sounds too good to be true!
This isn't rocket science but we'll let you be the judge. Try it out, guaranteed 100% it'll blow you away (see what we did there! ha!). But seriously, this is one of our favourite products and before you go any buy any other cooling related parts, this is the one that will make the biggest difference.

never thought about doing these for CA18DET?

If you do so, I think that you'll have a lot of customer in Europe.....

We have not test fitted it to a CA18, but it might fit. You could measure the PCD for the CA18 fan, SR20 is 134 mm.
