D16 + t56 trans to handle all the twork.

Click the build section and read. Shit even googling 240s swap will start you off.

or just go ahead with the d16 swap. Dont forget to hook up the vvti.

The first thing i would do is swap out that single cam and throw in a dohc ka24de. You could always swap for a bigger engine like a rb25/26 those are nice as well. But I'm a ka turbo person

you would save a lot of money just dropping a turbo on your car. Or buying a ka24de for cheap, then turboing that. But if you really want a bigger (better engine) I put that in parentheses because you can make any engine great with the right components, go with an rb25det. This has been done plenty of times, so any shop should easily be able to do it.

You can turbo a rb? I didn't think there was room left in the engine bay with those 2 extra cylinders.

If you go to the trouble of installing an RB engine that is naturally aspirated into your S-chassis then you've either got too much time and money or you're an idiot.

OP, you obviously don't know much about your options. If you come here expecting people to lay everything at your feet you are going to be flamed into oblivion. If you can sift through all the bullshit on the forum and use your own judgment then it is a good resource. The search function is your friend here.

QFT

These cars are pushing 30 years old. Every possible current engine swap choice has been debated, tried and then tried again. Spend some time with google.com. Do not expect handouts here.

These things are lego, you can pick nearly any swap and its probably been done and well documented. Hell, most swaps are basically bolt in now. Pick engine, order mounts, order wiring harness, order driveshaft, done.
