I have a set of nismo lmgt2 wheels, fronts are 17x7 + 25, rears are 17x8 +38. I plan on using the 17x8 in the front and having the 17x7 re-barreled. My question is what size barrel should I get to fit on my s14 with rear charge speed 50mm over fenders? Sorry if this question makes no sense or has been asked before but thanks for the advice in advance.

Well. Keeping those 17x8s and than asking what barrel you should get for your rear with 50mm overs osnt gonna yield a nice fitment lol its gonna be disproportioned. If i were you i wouldnt get barrels i would get new lips. Youll have more options and better fitment.

Wheel Fitment Question Thread

I know I'm asking for some spoon-fed information... but I have spent hours looking at pics and data and still don't have the answer nor enough knowledge on wheels and tires to make the right choice.

For these wheels "if I bought them" what would be best tire size? From my research 225/40 up front and 245/45 rear? This would be with a 2" drop all around, guess there is no way around rolling fenders.

There's no way to tell you what offset your wheels are by a picture of them mounted.

Either go measure it.......... or never know.

You're asking us to eyeball millimeters over the Internet.....

They look like shit offset and ass you lower you Gain camber, your tire will look doofy and not be flush.

I don't think you could mount a wide enough tire on those wheels that wouldn't clear stock fenders.

I measured it and came up with 40+ (I think I did it correctly) but if that was true then as some said they would look sunken in, which they really don't. S14 subframe and arms will push them out more than now and 2" drop knuckles will keep camber where it is which makes me believe I'll be close to flush? Thanks for your input.

Knuckles won't affect the camber unless you lengthen the upper control arms.

Wheel Fitment Question Thread

TheRealSy90 - correct, but KAT-PWR stated that I would gain camber while lowering the car, but not in my situation because of the drop knuckles.

Correction, just double checked and they are 35+ so another 5mm on the s14 frame should bring the rears to 30+?

Okay guys I have a s13 w/ feal coilovers and rolled fenders no pull. I'm thinking about purchasing a set ESR wheels 17x8.5 +30 and 18x9.5 +35. Would those rims sit just inside the fenders front and rear?

^ the fn01rc's for sure, those other ones are pretty terrible. However, there's no shame in running stock wheels until you can save up and buy some nice wheels. Just saying

Hello,

I have a pair of wheels i plan on relipping and they're normal/lo disk. Does it matter if I run them as spares for the rear? I've read the disk type is either front or rear due to the concave of the face.

It might've answered my own question but I want opinions from people who have them as rear spares.

As long as the brake calipers clear your specific wheel, you can run them where ever you want regardless of disk type. Often times people will say high or normal disk for front and super low disk for rear because its easier to buy wheels that way to ensure they wont rub on the brakes. Since you have the wheels, just chuck them on to see the clearance but you definitely shouldn't have any issues.

I need to know if ill run into the coil over i know that with a 6" barrel on a o disk vsxx with 4" =+19 on a 17x10 according to the specs from crimsonrocket's old vsxx he had in 18" they are +20 same lip and barrels I've seen now mine are 9.5 +15 o disk 4" lip 5.5" barrel now i know broadfield has run 18x10+45 my question was since a 6" barrel would make mine a +20 can i add a 7" thinking that 3" lip with a 7" barrel would be 18x10+45 with the o disk but im actually im using the original 4" lip what would the offset be now i know 18x11+30 fit that what im going for trying to fit them like silviaks2nr he has them like that just rolled with 295/30/18 now i think a 4" lip with a 7" barrel on a A disk = 18x11+25 and venicedrift says the difference between A and O disk is 7mm so i think it should be 18x11+32 now is that correct and if it is do you guys think they will rub thanks in advance I've been searching and asking people

Hey guys I have a s13 vert with a silvia front end with stock front fenders and cts-v big brake kit with megan coilovers. I know i need 18 inch wheels but im not sure of the width and offset i need to clear the brakes and the coilovers in the front. I know im going to have to roll the fenders but i dont want to pull them. Anyone that has a similar setup would be a big help. Im thinking of ordering some wheels on black friday. Thanks!

So im going to be a noob and not care.
I have a set of VS-XX 17x8+22 and 17x7+22
17x8+22 has a 5.5" barrel, with a 2.5" Lip
17x7+22 has a 5" barrel and 2" lip

Now im going to be relipping them with 3.5" lips so if my math is correct i would end up with these specs- 17x8.5 +3 and 17x9 +9
Feel free to call me an ass but thats what i got after using some equation i found on a stance forum. ever 1/2" of lip added would equal something like 6.35mm of offset?

http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3145 that would be where i found my information.

Hey guys I just bought some XXR's 527 17x9.75 with 25mm offset. They are for my 97 s14 From everything that I've read it seems I'll need 10mm spacers for the front wheels. My car is bone stock. What size tires would you guys recommend? Thanks ahead of time for your help!!!
