i did it to my zenki
if its done right it doesnt look stupid
just take your time and sand all the outer edges, tape off the dome that relects the light you just want to blacken out the edges and use paint for plastic , i used modeling paint and used an airbrush for better control of the stream , the sell aerosol cans for plastic at most auto parts stores,
at first i did semigloss, didnt like how it came out so i used full gloss over it and that looks way better
i dont have pics of the process and cant get you finished pics becuase car is in florida and im in texas

hows the black housing going to work, do you have projectors?
only part you can paint black on a zenki housing UNLESS you have projectors is like 2cm big, so why bother.

yes your correct it is very small area that you can paint without loosing the effectness of the light it self , but in my oppinion it gives it a cool "frame" around the lights
not unique because i know of several cars that have it done but different in a way

I think you should be more worried about getting the glass zenki headlights vs painting a small pointless area black.

I'm with Mendoza. Looks better blackened out and it is kind of easy to do, just need to take your time to not mess things up. Only picture I have, you can kind of see where I blackened out...

Also, if you get the clear lens, painting the inside of the lens (not the front) will considerably darken the look of the headlight.

Here's mine, I painted the low beam reflector since I dont need them and also all the chrome shit in the corners. Only thing that didnt get painted is the high beam reflectors.
