The first time I start my car it idles at 1500 & then goes up to 2000 after a minute. Then when I pull in the clutch it goes up to 2.2k and it will go back down to 2000 does anyone have an idea on what this could be I know my timing chain is retarded by 2 teeth could this be the problem?

The second time I start i which is about an hour later, it will idle at 1200 then go up to about 1600 which is still pretty high

Timing is huge with idle, fix your timing and adjust the idle screw on your plenum and go from there...

My ka did this then I swapped distributors until I timed it correctly. Definitely take a look at your timing first.

Could also be the tps, easier to check as well.

2nd the tpms I have the same problem get it from 91 g20
