Neither trans is STRONGER as far as outright torque/hp holding. The later year trans have better synchronizers. They'll all hold the same power.

Fronts off, lights back on for the fabrication of the manifold. The 8-1 collector should be here this week and will start getting ideas on how the heck ill run the runners to it.

Why 8-1? So unnecessarily complex and space consuming.

Why not?? You do realize there is a big honking turbo he is building the manifold for, right??

If people had that thought everytime we build something and steered away because it seems "complex", we would all still be running KA24s with 15" wheels and glow lights

I'll accept why most people will not understand this header design, lol. BUT, its kinda funny. I wouldn't worry about it though.... just enjoy how this p.o.s lm7 will sound.

It was first made for a Vq35, and then I bought it from my friend. Had to get shortened a couple inches to work. I can get the company name, I don't remember off the top of my head.

But, its a one piece aluminum drive shaft

Time to get to work!........... after I buy material.

Rocker arm upgrades...

Messing around, I think i'm going to keep the coils away as they are now. Due to the driver side header, itll be ran over the top of the valve cover. I need all the space I can get to help the process.

Nice did you go with Comp or BTR Trunion? I love how clean the coils look against the firewall plus as you noted they will be out of your way.

That 8-1 collector is beautiful. Are you doing equal length primaries as well? Im doing 180* headers on my ls build as well. Your much farther than i am in my build, excited to hear how yours sounds.

Thanks, we fabricate here but the collector is something that I out sourced. ahaha.. BUT yeahhh, rad is going in the back for sure and getting header material order up soon. STILL busting ass on my powder coating oven. Trying to get that done so I can help fund the rest of this project.

Yup, we'll keep in mind the lengths and make them close as possible. Should sound goood!

I completley agree with the outsourcing the collector. Thatd be a metric fuck ton of time to fab on its own. Reminds me i need to look into what rad size for my car.

I hope my rad will be large enough to cool my engine. Are you doing a rear mounted rad?

I orginally planned to as i was going procharged and run the intercooler up front and rad. out back, but decided to stay na, so i will be running a custom unit up front, on a prolly 30-45* forward angle.

Okay, i'm pretty sure ill be putting the rad in the back now really messing with the collector. Getting it back there is the easiest part, it's getting the ducting right it a issue right now.

Who did you source the collector from? And do you plan to keep up the radiator up front or move to the trunk?

I'm so excited. I need some ITB's too!
My plan was to run it with 2-3 clear naca ducts in each qtr window with tubes to a shroud on the front of the rad. And then the air diffused in the area between the tailights. The area behind the car is low pressure and the air on the sides where the qtr window are high, so there shouldn't be any problem with getting the air to pass through the system. Maybe have two fans. One running constantly to help with the vaccum and the other to kick on under heavy loads for additional cooking.

I'll be running ITBs on my car

The motor sounds glorious in that video. Hoping mine sounds a bit similar, maybe even. But smoother of a note. Going to pay real close attention to exact length primaries.

Yeah, i'll be putting it in the trunk. As it'll prolong the project. It'll for sure help the fabrication of the header. Got it from,http://www.stainlessheaders.com, I met them when I went to PRI last year. Stainless steel, double slip, 1.75" primary. NA for now, 71mm charger down the road. Maybe next year when I have a solid year of seat time.
