Good luck on your 26 swap, I think you got it.

1. The shifter sits in the tunnel cut out just as it should. Its the awd transfer case that's the issue.

2. I would ditch the 20 trans unless you are totally out of money. Swap to a 25 trans and be done. Shifter lines up great, just beat the trans tunnel mouth the fit bell housing. When you think its big enough, hit it some more.

3. I make my own piping, can't testify on any kits figment. I suggest learning to tig weld. Not expensive at local college. Something you can use the rest of your life.

4. I hate eBay too, buy if you can't weld, then try it out or McKinney has a pipe for 26.

5. Again, I made my mounts so can't testify on other mount kits. If you have a rb20 in already, the 26 will fit too with the same kit.

6. Any of those Ecus will work, just depends on your mods. The first 3 are retunable which is mandatory in my eyes. The mines are good too, but you are limited to what its tuned for. It would be my last choice, or a short term ride at the most.

Thank you FutureFab I am pretty good a MIG welding at the moment I picked it up and just started doing it and I am wanting to take a class as soon as I get the chance in tig just havent had the funds the past few years, I was thinking about making the pipes myself but I dont trust my welds enough for charge piping, but surely some couplers over the welds shouldnt hurt.

And I am thinking about reusing the kit and I didnt know if they where the same or not, did you do this? or hear about it?

I won the mines m/t ecu for the 26 for about 130 so Its pretty cheap as a backup if i dont go with a power fc do you have any previous usage with one?

Maybe there is someone you can have fab the pipes for you. Shouldnt be very expensive, especially if you have enough alum pipe in good shape to reuse.

The mount bosses are the same, just bolt it on. Just watch out for the 26 Awd alum pan. You can put on a 25 pan/pickup with a little messing around.

I've used both ecus. The mines is fine, I'd get the engine running on stock ecu first tho. Once you drive it and get a baseline feel for it, then toss the other on and see how it feels. A wideband O2 is a good investment to see what's going on Afr wise. Keep an ear out for knock, because you don't know what octane or elevation the ecu was tuned for. This is why pfc/aem/ect is nice, it can be tuned to your specific everything. Add a big turbo and injectors, just retune for it, no guessing, no bandaids.

Also, if you don't plan to make gobbs of Hp then you shouldn't need to rebuild it, unless its already toasted.
I would however read up on Rb oil problems and some fixes. Hopefully you got a R33 or newer Gtr engine so it has the oil drive flanks fixed from the factory.

The reason why I am rebuilding it is because when I first bought a used motor I thought it had been babied...then it blew a hg. So I bought another 20 and I rebuilt it from bearings up and was much happier with how the motor ran and how much healthier it sounded and that's why I am rebuilding the 26 to get the collar issue fixed

Alright I belive it was on here that I asked about the oil pan issue with the 26/20 swap i noticed the bolt holes will fit the 20 oil pan on the 26 block but when i go to put it on the pickup is not in the correct spot. I thought about cutting it but that would of course damage the baffle plate.

I also another question I thought alot of oiling issues of 26s where the crank collar issue and also the baffle plate. well I took my pan off my 26 tonight and there where baffle plates on the bottom of the girdle and on the pan, I thought there wasnt any baffles and that caused the oil pump to run dry sometimes. any suggestions on the sump situation?

Hello, I am in process of wiring my rb25det in s14. It was previously wired but when i got the engine from the seller the wiring was a mess.
So my question is I have 2 wires coming out of a little brown square box/plug by the ecu connector. 1 is black with red strip and 2nd is black with yellow strip. Are these ground wires?

All the RB guy. My power steering pump on the Rb26dett bearing went bad and it leak fluid. Any where to have it rebuild?
What is the alternative power steering may work instead of the RARE R34 RB26dett?
A professional think a rb26 r33 power steering pump may work.
Please help

So what do you guys do with ps hoses? i can make hydro hoses where i work, but my question is in the fittings there are some coiled pieces in them that were damaged. so i removed them will it function normal without? i figure they were some sort of resistor or something.
i didnt get any response in the small question thread, so i thought you would know more in this thread. Thanks for any help!

I recently put in rb25det in my 1997 s14 with 96 fusebox harness (inside & outside fusebox). Using wiring specialties conversion harness. It starts up but dies right away? Any clue on what could be the problem? Thanks

i have fuel and spark. I unplugged the MAF and it started and idled in limp mode. I used starter fluid and all 6 injector holes were leaking. the o ring/gasket was not properly seated. going to remove the intake manifold and screw up all 4 bolts and see if that would fix it. Hopefully that will solve the problem.

RB20

i have a mostly stock rb20. i just got it running strong but i still feel like it has a fuel issue. it has a walboro fuel pump and stock injectors. im looking to upgrade the fuel sytem and i want it to be top notch to where i only need to do it once. so im wondering what would be the best installs. 440cc injectors? or would something bigger be better. what would i need as far as fuel rail and lines? i also know i will need a FPR. im also started to look into the Greddy Emanage, would that be a good option as well? just looking for a good set up. i wanna make somewhere around 400hp when im done with the car. so suggetions and set up ideas are welcome
