I'm doing an auto to manual swap on my s13, but one of the engine to trans gussets (the two brackets on either side of the motor that bolt to the transmission) will not line up with the bolt holes in the manual trans adapter plate or the bellhousing.

I've not been able to find any information on this or anyone else thats had a similar problem with the 5 speed swap.

Anyone ever had this problem or have any suggestions?

Picture of the transmission, or the gausets, or of the issue as a whole. This will help a lot.

IIRC all the bolt holes line up with the engine and transmission, I don't remember any extra brackets on the side of the engine that would bolt to the transmission

Item 30429 and 30429M is what I think he is talking about. Two bolts to the block and two bolts to the tranny bellhousing, per each item.

can confirm, trash it!

I remember putting these back on after my tranny swap, I kept confusing which side went to which, and then getting the orientation wrong.
