Its not that hard to believe. Hes a lot lower then you are. If he had those specs in the front he wouldnt even be able to turn at all.

I know, I am as low as possible with that tire set up (there are wear marks everywhere and I've already beaten everything down, including the top rail). I would have to be almost an inch lower to be as low as he is up front with that sized tire (the car wouldn't even be able to roll and I would be tucking wheel). I don't like the way super skinny tires look, but I might put a 235 up front so I can go a little lower, I have not made my mind up yet.

ahhh thanks fellas...glad to see (not of the damage) that I wasn't losing my mind thinking your cars defied the laws of physics (tucked tire+ aggressive fitment+ hard turn= on fender)...but it does make sense that a lot of you diminish your damage with metal fenders. I'm nowhere NEAR as aggressive as most of you and still have some minor creasing in my front fenders but I think that's mainly due to shitty 'honda' fiberglass construction. FML.
keep the pics coming...I'm always in awe of the material in this thread |

I forget if I put my 14 in this thread or not.
18x9 -6 w/ 215/35 18x10 -7 w/ 225/35 Camber, roll and pull. I don't think it looks too bad for a backup/daily.. |

It rubs, but it doesn't pull the fender at all. The fender just bulges enough, then comes back in once the tire isn't touching it anymore. You have to make sure the fender lip is completely flat though. Because if the tire catches any kind of edge, it'll come right out

Pretty much the exact fitment I'm going for. Very nice!
How much work did you do for the front? Lip roll, but much flare?

also.. i dont have my fender connected at the bottom
just have the sideskirt bolted to the fender so it keeps it down just fine and that way the fender can move a little! and are you sure about that wd40 trick? i have a shitload of rubber everywhere.... |

The inside is hammered super flat. Then used a 2" round to do the flare, ala famous youtube video. Worked great, looks nice.. I'd say it's flared around .5 to 1" on the bottom? Sorry I'll try to get a better picture, I know that one is dark. I need to find some new wheels for that car though, I have some 30mm front fenders and will have 50mm rears, so I guess I'll go to 10/12 and put these wheels back on my 13.. |

^those will be pretty stretched. personally, i'd do 225/35's on front. i run 215's on my 9.5's and i'm always a little scared it's going to pop off the bead.

Generally it is pretty much impossible to fit a 215/35 on an 18x10, unless it is a Federal maybe, and the barrel design of your wheels happens to allow for easy stretching. That is taking a gamble however, and you might end up with tires that will not go on.
Same goes for the 245's. Sounds like your 'friends' told you to get the smallest sizes they have ever seen mounted somewhere on the internet. I do not think they were being serious when they recommended those sizes to you, haha. |

i have run 255/35/18 federal ss595 (wish they didnt discontinue this size)/maxxis mav1/dunlop sportmax/nexen n3000 (hate the tire but they did fit) on my 18x12s without any issues. did have one tire pop the bead due to a knick in the sidewall from mounting (shop replaced the tire for free except for mounting charges)
as for fronts i have been running 235/40/18 but plan on switching to 225/40/18 once i figure out which tire i want |
