1992 240sx chirp at idle

So i recently joined the 240sx club from being a mr2 guy for while and have a question with this whining/chirping sound. It has the stock ka with nothing but an intake and nice overflow bottle. I looked into the strange noise and most say to remove upper timing guide. So i did that and replaced valve cover seals. (which were toast). I also did a tuneup and the noise is still there. It goes away at about 1500 to 1700 rpms. I don't know what else it could be maybe a bad ac or ps pump. Maybe a harmonic balancer? Sounds more like a pulley. Here is a vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGxzI...ature=youtu.be Thanks for all and any help!

Remove your belt and see if it goes away. Of it does it's got to be water pump or power steering. I had build up in the serpentine grooves of my pulleys that sounded similar.mine started after I installed a new belt and eventually went away after several hundred miles.

I just cleaned out the ac tensioner pulley and greased the bearing and noise is still there. Looks like im a little low on power steering so im going to top it off. I just cleaned the engine and tried to remove all of the grease. Going to try to find out where this stupid noise is coming from. Thanks for help

Remove the belts. Start it an see if it's gone. Replace one at a time. When it returns there you go.
