Cam angle sensor question?

I have a SR20DET motor in my s13. When I start up the engine. It just tend to die. When I unplug the MAF sensor. The car stay running but when rev it run funny. Could it be the Camshaft angle sensor. How would you know if your Camshaft angle sensor is bad?

Any Info will help. thanks guys

That is exactly what mine is doing right now. Does it throw a code 11 with the maf plug off or on? Mine was idling rough for a few secs then it turns off. Then I unplugged the maf and it ran better, but only to 2500 rpms, then it won't go past that. I got a code 11 with thte maf plug off, but a code 55 with it on. Could also be the maf that could be bad. Do you have a lot of mods? Is it the stock maf?

usually just cleaning the CAS will get rid of that code.. soak it and its plugs down in electric parts cleaner, should clear the code...
