Ac compressor wont turn off
Ive taken the climate control off the car and the compressor still wont turn off. My guess now is maybe its the low pressure switch but if that was bad, wouldnt it not turn on at all? I had the same problem with ka and now SR so im pretty sure it dosent have anything to do with the harness. Ive already checked for shorts and grounds and i see nothing. Does the LP switch make sense? My LP line is freezing up because it wont turn itself off to prevent freezing and i dont want to ruin the compressor.

not sure on your car but there should be a clutch cycling switch some were. most trucks (ima diesel mechanic) have a temp probe that shuts off the clutch when the evap core gets cold enough. if this is broke or not even in the evap core your the compressor clutch wont shut off.
wouldnt be the lp switch since it only shuts it off if it is low on freon. since its freezing up look for a evap core temp switch in the manual somewhere usually before the lp and hp switches going to the compressor clutch. it might even be switched on a relay though most trucks dont use one for some reason. |

have you tired taking off the ac relay and replacing it? I had a problem where the relay was permanently giving power. also check disconnect the hp switch and see if it will turn off . if it still wont turn off disconnect the power to the compressor and recheck the wires try putting a 12volt tester on it and have someone wiggle the harness if the light goes out intermittently your problem might be in the harness.
