If you have access to a welder the easiest way would be to pop a hole in the oil pan and weld a nut with matching thread to the pan. Just make sure that you double check the clearences so you don't get interference between the oil pickup and sender unit when you go to put the pan back on.

Sorry, just realized you said oil pressure sensor, not temperature sensor. The SR has a stock pressure sensor. I believe you can tap into it's signal(so long as you have an electric gauge), but don't quote me on that.

the only sensor i know of that has to do with oil would be the oil pressure switch..dont quote me on that either, haha, but you wouldnt be able to tap into that sensor, its just a switch (on/off) not something you could run a psi gauge on

back to subject, if you get the right adapter you should be able to remove the oil pressure switch and feed your sensor thru there. im not sure of the size but thats how my friend did his.

u have to remove the stock oil pressure sensor thats located on the block. its below and to the left of the oil filter (passenger side of engine bay -looks the same as the one you got w/yours. btw, this is for electric oil pressure gauges)

the only thing is the stock oil light will no longer work.. but hey, if that light ever goes off.. its pretty much too late anyways right?

besides.. thats why you have an aftermarket gauge for

the pressure switch is 1/8" BSPT so if you use an autometer gauge you need an adapter from that to 1/8" NPT
i just pulled out my pressure switch and threaded in my sender and adapter

i am going to have this done soon as well.
i have an autometer electric oil pressure gauge and want to hook it up to my s13 sr.
would autometer part number ATM-2269 be the correct part?
it mentions in the description that it's for mechanical oil pressure gauges.
anyone have any help for me on this?
thanks.

I hooked up my electric Autometer gauge using the following adapter from Nissport. It is so straightforward with this adapter. You do not need to buy anything else if you are using an Autometer gage.

sorry to bring up an old post but im baffled. I just bought an autometer sport comp electric oil pressure guage, well I went to install the new sender and it is way too big. It rubs right up against the oil filter. I know that it wont fit anyway as i need the adapter. but even if I had it. I cant install it with the oil filter. well I was looking at this nisport thing and it looks like I can install that and then have the new sender just one one of those other ports and it will be sideways, also i saw in the description that id doesnt say with use on sr20det, just de. but im guessing it will work. is it fine that it is sideways, doenst matter? thanks for the help.

The Nissport adapter works with an SR. I have the Nissport adapter on my SR20DET blacktop and am using an Autometer Sport Comp oil pressure gage exactly like you are trying to do. It fits with no issues.

I think its really best to use some sort of hose, so you can clear the filter, and also isolate vibrations and keep stess of the aluminum threads.

SS hose would be best. I used a clutch hose from a Nissan Stanza. Kinda ghetto but thats how I roll, yos.

well I just ordered both those adapters, they are nice because you can add a few other things and a hundred bucks is nothing when you think of all the other money im going to have to spend.

Make sure those fittings are not brass. Or bye bye motor when they snap. I have seen at least 3 cars 1: rip the threads out of the block due to vibration and the weight of the fittings and sensors. or 2: snap a brass fitting in half due to same reasons. I run a ss oil feed line for the turbo to a t-fitting on the fender, this fitting holds the autometer sender and the other side goes into the turbo. Kinda spendy about 50bucks of hose, but cheaper than a new motor.
