FS/FT: 98 240sx SE, Silver Moss
So I recently got a new project and need to thin out my herd.
Up for grabs is a very clean 98 S14 SE that I've had a couple years now, it's mostly stock and very clean. I've spent a decent amount of money and time fixing little things here and there to 'restore' it. We all know the interior plastics get worn out. The good: -runs like a champ, it has never left me stranded or let me down, goes anywhere I ask it to -absolutely no rust at all, never been in a wreck as far as I know -I'm third owner, interior is very clean though not 'perfect mint' -everything functions perfectly, no AC or power steering problems -paint looks great (most everywhere, clear is flaking in two little spots) -absolutely clean and straight frame, one of the best I've seen The not so good: -autotragic lol -though it runs, it does smoke and has some chain rattle. if you know 240's you know this isn't a death sentence, it does me just fine to give it some oil every so often but it will likely need a rebuild or swap in the nearish future (which you were probably gonna do anyway) -has some vibration in the wheel in the neighborhood of 55-60mph, I attribute this to an air bubble in the right front tire as I didn't notice it before that occurrence -tires are shot, they'll need replaced before it's safe to drive on the regular -aftermarket exhaust from previous owner, it's pretty crappy and has been slowly degenerating, rattles a bit at idle and such -the actuator in the AC for redirecting airflow is stuck in the "head and feet" position, selecting any other flow pattern will cause it to click (it is a cheap but slightly tedious fix) -recently the front bumper was damaged, the lower right half of the fascia was cracked a bit. I intend on getting it fixed soon, but if it doesn't bother you that's fine Upgrades (it does have some!): -JDM window visors -JDM grille -Front strut tower brace -little RC car antenna! -front end brakes are Z32 swapped (rebuilt calipers, Hawk pads, circuit sports drilled and slotted rotors, stainless steel lines) sale does include a matching set of parts to complete the rear swap with z32 uprights -fully "refreshed" sound system - had two new kenwood speakers in the back, I put matching ones in the doors and a really nice receiver with full ipod control routed to the center console (can also play video and has ports for a back up camera) -comes on R32 GTR wheels, painted KH2 with a full set of center caps The deal: This is my daily so I can't exactly sell it outright, and mileage will increase. I would prefer to trade it with cash from your end. Specific trades I'm looking for are Infiniti G20s, 91-94 Sentra SE-Rs, 01-06 Sentra SE-R/Spec Vs, possibly an s13 coupe or hatch. I'd really like something clean that doesn't need a lot of work, runs and drives, and preferably a manual transmission. If possible I'd like to acquire a good car with 2.5-3k on top. Obviously the cash portion will shift depending on the trade offer, but I'm willing to negotiate with a serious buyer. If you have something feel free to email or text, I'll be happy to respond and talk to you about the car. Also, feel free to hit me up to come check it out if you're local. As an outright sale price I'd ask $5,500, but would prefer trades+cash from buyer so I have something to drive. If we could keep the price-bashing nonsense to a minimum that would be cool. Arguing over asking prices gives me a headache. I've also got some jdm s14 goodies to throw in if you're interested, but that can be discussed during the sale negotiations. And the pics: Last edited by vg33er200sx; 01-12-2015 at 06:27 AM.. |

Sorry I forgot to include that - I'd like to get 5.5 for it, but it would probably be in best interest (at least for me) if we could work a trade for one of those SERs lol.
I sent you a pm |

Why? I'd prefer automatic , less likely abused. And the 5 speed swap is the simplest thing to do.

five speed swaps are def easy, and what difference does it make if it was auto when you swap in the sr20 someone will most likely fit it with lol.

Pretty sure they're GTRs, but I've been mistaken before lol.
I haven't had them off to check the stamping on the back since I bought them a long time ago, at which point I was told they were GTR wheels |

I have an 08 volvo c30. Awesome daily. Coilovers intake and a tune. Power everything and heated seats. Has a salvage title. Insurance priced it around 7k but I rather have a 240 and take a slight loss on it. If interested you can contact 4102151724

Thanks to all you folks who offered trades or pmed me - sorry I haven't responded, I've been without internet for a little while and have been very busy. Also, I had a buyer who as until now has flaked out on the sale.
If anyone is still interested, feel free to pm me offers or trades - though atm I'm only really interested in something AWD. Specifically an Impreza, WRX, or newer Forester if possible. Thanks guys Last edited by vg33er200sx; 04-03-2015 at 07:00 PM.. |
